The biggest challenge hotel industries are facing is finding ways to make guests feel safe.

The province of Negros Occidental finally reopened travel destinations after months in lockdown. To recover from economic losses brought by the pandemic, the Department of Tourism inspected and allowed resorts to operate again. But many Bacolodnons—even those who are itching to escape after months of staying at home—still aren’t sure whether or not to hit the road and travel. To address this unease, hotels in the city are implementing enhanced hygiene protocols to make guests safe despite the pandemic.

L’Fisher Hotel, a four-star hotel in Bacolod, takes serious steps to mitigate risks to its hotel staff and guests. Other than luxury, comfort, and its accessible location, the premier hotel prides itself in its stringent safety practices. So if you are craving for a quick escape in the city, read on to see why L’Fisher Hotel is a safe bet for your staycation!

No-contact temperature check and hand sanitizing

Having less interaction among staff and guests reduces the risks of transmission. That is why the management uses a hands-free thermal scanner and a foot-operable sanitizer dispenser at the hotel’s entrance. With the foot-press device, guests don’t have to touch bottles; rather, they only have to press the pedal with a foot and the bottle would dispense the sanitizer. Meanwhile, the hands-free thermal scanner allows more space between security personnel and guests.

UV light disinfection in rooms and pool

Aside from cleaning high-touch surfaces, L’Fisher Hotel conducts UV-light disinfection in rooms to destroy viruses and bacteria. The guest rooms are also kept vacant for 72 hours between stays to make sure that enhanced cleanliness measures are met. Meanwhile, the hotel’s roof deck pool is cleaned using UV-light and chemical disinfection regularly. Although the UV-light paints a pretty picture at night, guests are not allowed to take a dip during the cleaning schedule.

More standard safety measures

Upon check-in, guests are asked to use contactless transactions when making payments. The hotel’s staff also wear personal protective equipment, while visual cues are placed in the lobby, hotel restaurant, and pool area to remind everyone to practice social distancing. Fancy food trays are also replaced by individually wrapped food if guests prefer room service.

Before this pandemic, the hotel brand adhered to high accommodation standards, and it ensures that this does not change even during a crisis. Rebuilding confidence among guests is one of the keys for the industry to recover, and L’Fisher Hotel executes a holistic approach to care for the well-being of both guests and hotel staff.
