The Department of Health has recently launched the anti-dengue immunization campaign in schools starting with Grade 4 students of Parang Elementary School in Marikina City. Dengvaxia—the very first anti-dengue vaccine invented—is already available in the private market. According to Manila Bulletin, a total of 1,033,300 Grade 4 students will be vaccinated in the country’s top dengue-stricken areas in NCR, Region 3, and Region 4-A Calabarzon. The DOH has allocated PhP 3 billion for the first batch of the anti-dengue vaccine beneficiaries.

The Grand Coronation for the Binibining Pilipinas 2016 is set to happen at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, April 17. Binibining Pilipinas Beauty Pageant is a project of Binibining Pilipinas Charities Incorporated (BPCI).

This annual beauty pageant is the country’s official avenue that will select the country’s representative to Miss Universe. The BPCI, according to its website, is a non-stock, non-profit organization, while the pageant is BPCI's primary instrument “as it pursues its mission of spreading peace and love across the nation, (as it is) a fund-raising activity for projects that would benefit orphans, indigent families and other less fortunate members of Philippine society.” [1]
