Out of nowhere it just hits—you’re burned out. Living in the concrete jungle can do that to a person. With the stress and traffic of big city living, you long for a vacation, but sometimes you just can’t afford a long getaway. So go for the next best thing, a staycation right in the heart of the bustling metro that is Quezon City. We’ve lined up some options you might want to consider so get cozy and read on!
1. Red Planet Hotel

Red Planet is perfect if you’re looking to do some retail therapy or want to have a chance to de-stress through outdoor recreation. It is located near the Kamuning Metro Rail Transit station which provides easy access to a myriad of shopping malls and places for sight-seeing like Trinoma Shopping Mall, SM City North EDSA, and UP Town Center. Their lowest priced room is at PhP1,900 plus tax and service fees.

2. Haeinsa Condotel

Another hotel situated right next to the Kamuning Metro Rail Transit station is Haeinsa Condotel. They offer 50 spacious guest rooms that have a comfy feel making it a home away from home. A 5- to 10-minute ride will take you either to Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center or the Sky Garden of SM North EDSA. Both are great places to take a walk in nature and unwind from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s worth noting that the rooms come with free Wi-Fi access. 3. Stone House Bed and Breakfast

If you love the nightlife and you’ve got to boogie, then Stone House Bed and Breakfast might be the place for your staycation. It sits near Tomas Morato, which is a popular area for nights out with the squad for its long row of restaurants of various cuisines and gimmicks. Stone House also has a rooftop garden where you can unwind after a night out on the town. As a bed and breakfast, their rooms have a modern-style kitchenette equipped with a microwave and fridge. Their lowest priced room is at PhP1,800.

4. Happy Turtle Hostel

Happy Turtle Hostel is for the no-frills, easygoing backpacker type. They have an affordable offer of only PhP550 per day, which means that you are able to maximize your budget. Their fan rooms are considerably wide and furnished with queen size mattresses.They also have a special rate of PhP5,500 for guests who will stay for more than 30 days. It’s the right spot to stay at if you want to explore the city free of hassles. It is located near the main highways and close to the Metro Rail Transit and Light Rail Transit Cubao stations so you can go sightseeing in the metro in any direction. You are also assured that your belongings will stay secure since guests are provided with storage lockers. Their lowest priced room is at PhP550.

5. Metro Room Budget Hotel

Metro Room Budget Hotel is exactly what its name suggests. It is an apartment-style hotel that is budget-friendly and has great service. Some of the local tourist attractions that are in the vicinity are the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Ateneo de Manila University, and the Amoranto Velodrome. It is also pretty close to the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club if you want to practice your golf swing.

6. Hotel Sogo Banawe Avenue

Hotel Sogo is one of the most popular lodging chains in the Philippines. In the Quezon City area, they have a branch in Banawe Avenue. One of the factors why this hotel is popular is because they are pretty affordable while also providing comfort and privacy. Their rooms come with the usual amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi, concierge services, and LED television. Hotel Sogo is a good option where you can relax and unwind at a reasonable price.
