QC Mayor Bautista warns markets to comply with proper documentation (Photo by Writer)

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista warns market owners in the city to either comply with their business requirements or close for good.

Out of the 30 private markets in the city, Bautista said that only Super Palengke in Project 8 and the Arayat Market in Cubao passed the requirements. The rest failed to complete various documentations including health and sanitation permits, business permits, environmental clearances, or discharge permits.

Bautista gives the remaining markets until before the end of the year to comply. The mayor also stresses that the purpose of the move is to encourage owners to improve their businesses rather than face closure.
