Smiling faces, hospitable people, picturesque views, and delicious local dishes: these and more await those who want to visit Bacolod. A way to get a dose of these is by trying out different cafés and restaurants in the city. Bacolod offers a wide array of places where you can meet up, eat, and drink. You can choose a cafe or restaurant based on cuisine, theme, or a unique selection of food.

Bacolod has many established cafés, pubs, and restaurants already but these do not stop new restaurants from venturing into this lovely city. If you’re up for a new taste, ShoppersGuide can help you find those new spots.

Common Ground Café and Bar



Though its space has a minimalistic design, this cafe and bar will definitely not give you less. If you’re up for slow, quiet afternoons and fun, easy evenings, then Common Ground Café and Bar is the place for you.

Common Ground Café and Bar serves sandwiches, pasta, finger foods, and rice meals which will cost you in the PhP30 to PhP100 range. A cup of coffee, a glass of smoothie, or a single alcoholic drink costs between PhP35 and PhP100. Alcoholic beverages for sharing are also available for PhP220.




This café and bar supports any local artist who would want to showcase their talent. It also hosts a variety of events such as trivia night and the launching of Glucose, pop art event wherein they cut out fanzines that are made by the artists themselves to post and give to their customers as a way to promote it.


Café Conceptu

Store Hours: 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Monday to Thursday and Sunday) 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Saturday)

If you’re looking for convenience, comfort, and a cozy place to spend time with your family and friends, visit Café Conceptu , a newly opened café that has a lovely and chic interior.

Café Conceptu offers a variety of food choices such as pasta, all-day breakfast and combo meals, snacks, and hot and cold beverages. The price range of their beverages is from PhP15 to PhP65 while that of their food items is from PhP35 to PhP130. Best sellers include the vegetable and cheesy beef pizza, nacho fries available in three different flavors, pasta, and smoothies.


The Trap Door

Store Hours: 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM

The Trap Door



The Trap Door is the first of its kind in the country. With magic as its theme, it is a pub where you don’t only get to drink craft beers but also get to experience magic. If you want to experience thrill and adventure, this is the place to be. The waiters and waitresses will entertain you with magic tricks while you’re in the pub. Even the pub owners themselves are into magic as well.

The Trap Door offers handcrafted beers made by the owners themselves. You can avail their handcrafted beers from PhP120 to PhP160 per bottle. As The Trap Door is currently developing their menu, only a few dishes are offered as of this writing.


Ice Avenue Café

Store hours: 9:00 AM-11:00 PM

Ice Avenue Café



If you crave something cold and sweet, Ice Avenue Café offers a variety of desserts that will satisfy your craving. Its best seller is the bingsu, a Korean shaved ice dessert with chopped fruits, chocolates, biscuits, syrup, and condensed milk. This dessert comes in five flavors: Korean Avenue, Mango Avenue, Chocolate Avenue, Mixed Fruits Avenue, and Oreo Avenue. Some flavors of bingsu are served with red beans as toppings. The price ranges from Php150 to PhP180. Each serving is good for sharing among family members or friends.




If you want to try other desserts, Ice Avenue also have cakes, a slice of which ranges from PhP50 to PhP60, coffee, and frappes. You can definitely bond with your friends and family in this cozy restaurant as its comfy atmosphere encourages personal and intimate conversations.
