7 Online Grocery Stores for a Convenient Grocery Shopping

Together with the 13th month pay, impossible traffic, and irresistible sales, the holiday season also brings an all-time favorite Filipino tradition: eating a festive meal together with loved ones. During this time, the entire family (or group of friends for those who’ll be celebrating away from home this year) gathers to celebrate and scarf down delicious food. But amidst all the festivities, not everyone has the time to brave the commute, go grocery shopping, and tolerate the long lines at the checkout counters.

To prevent you from going through all of that, here are seven online grocery shopping sites to help make grocery shopping a little easier:

1. Walter Mart Grocery Delivery

Payment modes: Credit or debit card, cash on delivery, or swipe on delivery

Walter Mart’s product prices online and in-store are of the same value.

After more than 25 years in the business, Walter Mart now offers more convenience to its customers with its Grocery Delivery service. The products featured on the website, as well as their prices, are the same in-store. A minimum order of PhP2,000 is required, and the delivery fee depends on the delivery address. All orders must be placed before 3:00 PM for same-day delivery.

2. The Green Grocer

Payment modes: Bank deposits, cash on delivery, or PayPal

The Green Grocer’s products come from farms around the country.

Offering fresh and healthy produce, The Green Grocer’s products come from farms located in Negros, Bukidnon, Tagaytay, Laguna, Batangas, and Benguet. Some of their merchandise include all-natural tomato ketchup, almond flour, different varieties of organic bananas, and free-range eggs. They only wait for a maximum of 15 minutes for you to accept the delivery in order to guarantee the freshness of the products. Minimum order requirement and delivery charge depend on your area. Orders made on Saturdays and Sundays are delivered on Wednesday or Thursday and orders made from Monday until Thursday are delivered on Saturday.

3. Down to Earth

All of Down to Earth’s products are steroid and pesticide-free.

All the products from Down to Earth come from a family farm located in Dahilayan, Bukidnon. Their offerings include steroid-free meat and pesticide-free crops. They take orders on Mondays and Tuesdays and deliver from Wednesday to Friday.

4. Marketa

Payment modes: Marketa Credits via the Marketa Wallet, PayPal, 7-Eleven cash payment, Bancnet ATM cards, GCash, cash or online banking payment through Dragonpay, or cash on delivery

Marketa features items made by our local micro, small, and medium enterprises. Its primary vision is to make online grocery shopping safe, hassle-free, and convenient. A lightening bar soap made out of goat’s milk and olive oil and 10-in-1 herbal coffee are some of the unique finds in this online grocery store. Deliveries are shipped out within 24 to 48 hours of placement of order and the shipping fee is calculated by their shipping calculator that computes the rates.

5. Lococo

Payment modes: PayPal, credit cards, cash on delivery, or bank deposits

Lococo also features well-known Filipino brands such as The Little Spatula and Explore Sandbox.

Lococo offers products which are either or all of these things: natural, local, and healthy. They feature partner-producers who sell non-toxic and sustainable products that cover everyone from babies to adults to even pets. They ship nationwide with shipping fees of PhP100 for orders in the Metro Manila area and PhP200 for the rest of the country. This online grocery store’s products include raw Sacha Inchi protein powder, gluten-free all-purpose baking flour, organic golden quinoa, and raw cacao powder. Orders made and paid by 3:00 PM on weekdays will be shipped on the same day and will arrive after around four business days while orders placed during weekends and holidays will be shipped on Monday. The Healthy Grocery ships nationwide.

7. The Superfood Grocer

The Superfood Grocer offers nutritious and plant-based whole foods. They are pushing for lifestyles that are in the prime state of health, full of energy, and free from any illnesses. Their products include dairy-free ice cream made from black sesame and cinnamon milk, vegan granola clusters, and Spirulina. They offer nationwide shipping, and delivery of two to three business days within Metro Manila with a PhP75 shipping fee and three to five business days outside the metro area with a PhP200 shipping fee.
