It’s been a frantic transition from one major event to the next, from the New Year to Valentine’s and now to graduation season. But no matter what time of the year it may be, shopping more for less value is always an exciting idea for a good time. Nothing is more satisfying than spending your money on to-die-for items without emptying your wallet.

Trends may come and go but shopping and discounts are forever, so here are sales, bazaars, and fairs you wouldn’t want to miss this March 2018:


1. SM Home Bed and Bath Sale

Where: All SM Home branches nationwide
When: January 25 to March 4
Entrance fee: None

SM Home has over 45 branches nationwide.



SM Home, also known as Homeworld, will be having a sale of up to 50% on selected items from January 25 to March 4. Some items which will have discounts include storage units, bed sheets, mattresses, and more.

How to get there: Head onto the nearest SM mall and you will find its SM Home within the premises.




2. Viva Manila’s Pasyal Sundays: Manila Biennale Fair

Where: Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines Parking Area, General Luna Street, Intramuros
When: February 10 to March 5, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Entrance fee: Day Pass, Ph880; Student Pass, Ph350

Viva Manila is an organization that promotes tourism in the City of Manila.



Focused on reminiscing and highlighting the beauty of old Manila, Viva Manila’s Pasyal Sundays: Manila Biennale Fair will feature local artisans, Filipino delicacies, and curated exhibitions. This year’s theme, “Open City,” revolves around Manila’s role in the famed Galleon Trade. The fair is happening every weekend until March 5, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Two ticket options are available: the Day Pass for PhP880 which has access to all exhibition sites with E-trike transportation provided and the Student Pass for PhP350 which has access to all exhibition sites.

How to get there: From Manila City Hall, ride a bus going to Alabang-Quiapo. Get off at the Finance Road and walk until you reach the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines.


3. Philippines International Furniture Show

Where: CSMX Convention Center Manila, Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City
When: March 8 to 10
Entrance fee: Free for visitors pre-registering until March 6; PhP500 for walk-ins

Over thirty exhibitors can be expected at the event.



The Philippines International Furniture Show is a “show dedicated to the talent and craftsmanship of Filipinos” and is a “celebration of Filipino creativity and ingenuity that is world-class.” It is done yearly and this year, it is from March 8 to March 10, 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Some exhibitors that can be expected include Fashion Interiors Manufacturing Incorporated, Pacific Traders & Manufacturing Corporation, and My Home Design.

Entrance is PhP500 per day but visitors can get in for free if they pre-register until March 6 at the following link: http://www.pifs.ph/?page_id=1172. Attendees are required to come in proper business attire.

How to get there: Taking the LRT 2 train, get off at Recto Station, walk through the connecting bridge to LRT 1 Doroteo Jose Station. Then ride the LRT 1 train and get off at EDSA station. Right outside are orange jeepneys headed to the Mall of Asia.




4. Getting Married Bridal Fair

Where: Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall, EDSA corner Julia Vargas Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong
When: March 10 and 11
Entrance fee: None

The Getting Married Wedding Coordinators and Event Planners group was formed in 2001.



Led by wedding coordinator and wedding planner Kutchie Zaldarriaga, The Getting Married Wedding Coordinators and Event Planners will be holding the Getting Married Bridal Fair at the Megatrade Hall 3 on March 10 and March 11. Some exhibitors that can be expected in the fair include Edward Teng for the bridal attire, Dangwaflorist for the floral arrangements, and Nice Print Photography for the photography and videography services. Admission is free.

How to get there: Take the MRT to Ortigas station. From there, it’s a short walk to SM Megamall.


5. American Women's Club Of The Philippines (AWCP) Bazaar

Where: SMX Convention Center Manila, Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City
When: March 13, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Entrance fee: PhP100

The American Women’s Club of the Philippines was formed in 1979.



The American Women’s Club of the Philippines (AWCP) is a group of Americans who have chosen to reside non-permanently in the Philippines. They are focused on being involved in community events that give back to the country and volunteer in community service. They will be having a bazaar on March 13 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM which will feature vendors from all over the country who make and sell local skin-care products, wood crafts, local cuisine, and special seasonal items. Entrance fee is PhP100, all of which goes to charity.

How to get there: Taking the MRT, get off Taft Station and cross the bridge towards LRT EDSA station. Right outside the LRT station across Metropoint Mall are jeepneys all going to SM Mall of Asia.
