NAIA airport new e-gates

Summer is out, school is in.

Summer is officially over, and with the exit of the dry season comes the wet weather. This month also welcomes the new school year, as classes officially start in public schools in Metro Manila. Therefore, expect heavy traffic in the morning rush hour as students return to school. Meanwhile, those going to Eastwood from Makati and vice versa can now avail of the new Point-to-Point (P2P) bus route while those from Trinoma to Makati should take note of a new terminal assignment. For air passengers, NAIA airport has new e-gates in Terminal 3 to ease processing.

Weather: Rainy first week of June

Students in Manila will have to deal with a rainy first week of school as thunderstorms are expected to fall from Monday up to the weekend. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) previously stated that the rainy season is expected to start within this month. The temperature also starts to cool down with a range of 32 °C to 34 °C [1].

As the weather transitions, everyone should add an umbrella to their everyday itinerary. Also pack raincoats for extra protection during intense rainfalls. Rubber boots will be especially helpful for those living in areas that easily flood.

A new P2P route that will take commuters from Eastwood, Libis to the Makati CBD will be launched this week. The terminals will be at Megatent Libis in Eastwood and Glorietta 3 in Makati. Travel Update: NAIA airport to launch new e-gates

Electronic gates or e-gates at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 are expected to be launched this month. The e-gates aim to shorten the lines at the immigration counters in the country’s main airports. With the e-gates, it will only take 12-15 seconds for passengers to swipe their passports, get their biometrics, and undergo facial capturing [4].
