East Bacolod is now on the rise as a premiere business district in Bacolod as a new mall opens, and a new township launched. Bacolod City was also declared by the National Competitiveness Council as the No. 1 Highly Urbanized City in Visayas. This is because of the improvement and great development in areas such as economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency. In Candoni, a PhP50 million public market is about to rise to cater the needs of people living in the southern part of the province.

New branch of Robinsons now open in East Bacolod

Robinsons recently opened its new branch in the City of Smiles. Located at the Eastern part of Bacolod, the new branch becomes a new home for shopping needs to people living in the area since it began service last August 17 [1]. It has become a strategic location as well since it is near real estate developments like East Villas Subdivision, Villa Angela Subdivision, and Balay Bugana. It is also near Hi-Residences Condominium, a seven-tower community in the area. This is also a good news for call center agents and government workers since the newest branch is also near the Bacolod Government Center, Panasiatic Solutions and numerous dining spots.

The Upper East: Rise of the New Megaworld Township in Bacolod

Megaworld kicked off their newest township named “The Upper East” in Bacolod City. The Upper East is envisioned to be one of the most unique townships that Megaworld will develop in the Philippines. It is situated in a prime location where commercial and business process outsourcing (BPO) are booming. The Upper East is a township inspired by New York City’s affluent Upper East Side District where residential condominiums, malls, recreational parks, and open spaces blend together to create a live-work-play atmosphere. The township is projected to be finished by 2028 [2].


P50-M public market about to rise in Candoni

A PhP50 million-worth public market is set to rise in the municipality of Candoni in Southern Negros Occidental.The municipal council members of Candoni unanimously voted to authorizing Mayor Cicero Borromeo to enter into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Negros Occidental Provincial Government. While the provincial government will not fund the project, it guaranteed to facilitate the loan application of Candoni town to the Municipal Development Fund Office.The passage of the resolution for the signing of the MOA with the province was held last month [3].
