It’s true that the weather in Bacolod can be fickle in November. But if you want to do more than hiking, visiting ancestral houses, and frolicking in white sand beaches then it can still be a good month to visit the City of Smiles. There are distinct advantages to visiting Bacolod during the rainy season. One of them is attending indoor events that might pique your interest.
Read on to know more about events in Bacolod that you should catch this November.
1. EXO's Comeback Party
Where: Jamie’s Café
When: November 17, 2018
Ticket price: Php 100
You can buy your tickets of EXO’s Comeback Party at Jaimie’s Café.

Save the date! Fans will celebrate the comeback of popular male Korean-pop group, EXO, on November 15 at Jaime’s Café in Bacolod City. While the K-pop group won’t be present, the event is still organized by the EXO-L Negros Chapter. This is the second time EXO fans in Negros gather to celebrate their idols. Are you an EXO-L? Join this event and meet other die-hard fans of the K-pop group!
How to get there: From downtown, ride in a public utility jeepney with the Homesite – Central Market route. Just ask the driver to drop you off at Jaimie’s.
2. First Miss Deaf Gay Negrense Pageant 2018
Where: Villamonte Gym
When: November 24, 2018
Ticket prices: PhP100 – General Admission; PhP150 – VIP
This first ever unique pageant is one of the events in Bacolod that you should not miss!

The lack of awareness on both the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) groups and the deaf community motivated the Negrense Deaf Rainbow Club to organize the first ever Miss Deaf Gay Negrense Pageant in Bacolod City. If you love watching pageants live, then this event can be a unique experience. It will be a great help as well since the funds gathered will help and support the deaf gay community in the city.
How to get there: From Gaisano Main in Downtown Bacolod, hail a jeepney with a Villamonte – Central Market route. For tips, you need to be more sensitive and open-minded when coming to the event. Be more observant, enjoy, and immerse yourself into the community event.
3. Carnival of Lights
Where: Ayala District North Point
When: November 23-24, 2018
Ticket prices: Free admission
Buy something at the bazaar and help the Ata Community in Negros.

A bazaar for a cause will be held on November 23-24, 2018 at the Ayala District North Point. Entitled the Carnival of Lights, this event aims to collect funds to help create a sustainable livelihood program for the Ata Community. The main beneficiary will be the Project AtaSENSO, a community development initiative that aims to mobilize the Ata Community to a more developed and empowered platform while still strongly adhering to their rich culture. If you would like to help and strengthen the culture and heritage of our indigenous brothers and sisters, this event can be a great avenue.
How to get there: Ride a bus, taxi or a jeepney going North Negros at the north terminal. If you’re taking a bus, catch one at the Ceres North Terminal. Just tell the drivers in either options to drop you off at the Ayala District North Point. Just a tip, if you can afford to lend some money as a donation. It will be a great help especially to the Ata Community.
4. 19th Adobo Festival
Where: Balay Negrense Museum
When: November 10, 2018
Ticket prices: Free admission

Celebrating the rich culinary industry of Negros, the Balay Negrense Museum in Silay City will have its 19th Adobo Festival. Adobo is a dish of chicken or pork stewed in vinegar, garlic, soy sauce, bay leaves, and peppercorns. The dish is a favorite of almost every Filipino family. If you happen to love adobo, you’ll to get a taste of different styles during the food festival. This gastronomical experience is an event that tourists shouldn’t miss.
How to get there: Take a bus, taxi or a jeepney going North Negros. There is even a direct route to Silay City. If you are taking the bus, head to the Ceres North Terminal and just tell the driver to drop you off at the San Diego Pro-Cathedral in Silay. Once there, hail a tricycle going to the Balay Negrense Museum.
5. Serengularipiphany: A Triple Birthday Celebration for TaeJinMin
Where: Baldevia Function Hall
When: November 24, 2018
Ticket prices: PhP120
Celebrate the birthday of some of the members of BTS in an Army-initiated event in Bacolod!

Calling out all BTS fans in the house! Try joining the Serengularipiphany: A Triple Birthday Celebration for TaeJinMin. Celebrate together with other BTS ARMY at the Baldevia Function Hall for PhP120. The registration fee already includes food, freebies and raffle prizes. Unleash the inner fan girl and fan boy inside of you, and jam to your favorite BTS songs as you celebrate one of the milestones of your favorite artists.
How to get there: From the Ceres North Terminal, ride a Bata –Libertad jeep and ask the driver to drop you at Baldevia Function Hall in Downtown Bacolod.
