In this property news roundup, being environmentally friendly appears to be the running theme among three developers. Maple Grove, a Megaworld development that aims to be Cavite’s green business district, is set to rise in General Trias by 2022. Also within this township is its premiere condominium, The Verdin. Meanwhile, Ayala Land and the Eton Properties partner to create green urban estate Parklinks.

Project Announcements

Megaworld’s premier real estate project goes to Cavite

Megaworld, the country’s leading real estate developer, will bring its 140-hectare Maple Grove township to General Trias, Cavite by 2022 [1].

Situated in the heart of the township and occupying 35 hectares of land is the Maple Grove Commercial District. This Makati Central Business District (CBD)-inspired project is envisioned to be the country’s next premier financial and commercial district.

The district will be surrounded by seven green open parks, including a central park that will serve as the ‘Green Jewel.’ The space will also feature up-to-date conveniences like a lifestyle mall, commercial centers, and office towers. ¬After its completion, travel time for commuters going to Makati and Fort Bonifacio via Coastal Road and Cavitex is expected to take only 30 to 45 minutes.

Urban countryside and sustainable lifestyle at Maple Grove’s The Verdin

Megaworld recently introduced its first residential development, The Verdin. This 10-storey condominium property will stand along Maple Grove township’s main six-lane avenue [2].

One innovative attribute of this tower is the ‘Sustainability Wall’ which is found in the main lobby. The Verdin also features well-studied ‘green’ amenities like solar powered outlets in various parts of the outdoor amenity deck, use of recycled and indigenous materials for the pool deck and children’s playground equipment, and the use of energy-generating equipment and machines in the outdoor fitness area.

The Verdin at the Maple Grove offers seven levels of residential units ranging from studio (up to 32 square meters), one bedroom (up to 51 square meters), and two bedrooms (up to 79 square meters). Each unit will have its own lanai to give the residents a view of the scenic green parks and vibrant township cityscape. This mid-rise tower will only have 140 exclusive units, two levels of podium parking, and a retail shop located at the ground level to ensure convenience and easy access to its occupants.

Residents of The Verdin will get to enjoy the exclusivity of using the amenity deck at the third level. In it will be a lap pool with pool deck, a children’s pool, a leisure and relaxation park, reading nooks, a function room, a fitness center, an outdoor fitness area, a daycare center, and a playground area.

Greenest urban estate to rise in the east and northeast of Metro Manila

Ayala Land and Eton Properties joined forces to create Parklinks, which they envision to be the greenest urban estate in the metro. This 35-hectare development along C5 will be completed by 2020 [3]. Since Parklinks is bisected by the Marikina River, a bridge that spans 110 meters will be built to connect its two parts.

Meanwhile, a lifestyle mall will also be built by 2022 to serve as the anchor of the residential and business hub. The mall will stand at the estate’s C-5 frontage to show a balance among its wide array of family-oriented retail, dining, and entertainment options.

The mall will also feature a sports complex that will house a basketball court, a volleyball court, badminton courts, and a fitness gym.
