This week’s roundup of real estate and property news features DMCI’s new Japanese-inspired condo project within Metro Manila. Meanwhile, Visayas is seen as the next real estate investment haven, with multiple housing projects emerging in various key spots in the island group.
Project Announcement: DMCI’s first Japanese-inspired condo living to rise in Mandaluyong
Early this year, DMCI announced its first Japanese architecture-inspired project, The Kai Garden Residences. This three-tower condominium development is situated near Boni, Mandaluyong, specifically M. Vicente Street (formerly Dansalan Street), Mandaluyong City.
Known for its resort-style communities and landscaping expertise, DMCI aims to utilize the Philippines’ variety of beautiful flowering trees such as Palawan cherry, Banaba, and Salimbobog. These tree wonders could rival Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms and Japanese maple trees.
DMCI Homes Landscape Manager Alexis Valiente said that they will ensure a setting similar to a typical Japanese garden. To make the project’s landscape distinctive and authentic, the garden will showcase a feast of colors when it’s in full vigor to create an ambience closely resembling that of Japan’s.
Residents and guests will experience resort-inspired living with well-defined interiors and breathable space upon entry to the towers. First-class amenities are also offered, and these include jogging paths, an outdoor fitness area, a lounge area, a bar and game area, an audio-visual room, a roof deck, a function room, and a swimming pool complex.
The condominium towers have floor areas ranging from 28 square meters to 81.5 square meters. Each tower has a different target date of completion, and they are as follows: Sugi building, January 2023; Icho building, January 2024; and Hinoki building, June 2024 to January 2025 [1].
