new places to go

As an island surrounded by beaches—12 to be exact—it’s no wonder Boracay gets really crowded during the summer months. Summer is also the season when the island’s main attraction, White Beach, truly stands out with its pristine waters enveloping its powdery white sand. It’s indeed an Instagram-worthy background!

This upcoming summer, Boracay island will surely not fall short in providing tourists exciting attractions, places to visit, and new places to go. With the rebirth of the island following its six-month rehabilitation comes the birth of new Boracay hotels and restaurants to check out on your next summer holiday.

The resort has 91 suite rooms divided into five types: deluxe, superior, premiere, family villa, and presidential. The fully-furnished suites have comfortable and ergonomic amenities and are designed to comfortably accommodate you and your loved one, as well as families and groups.

The resort offers a panoramic view of the island and has an exclusive pathway leading to the quiet side of White Beach. With great focus on tranquility, the resort has vast open spaces to give off a peaceful vibe. Note, though, that some portions of the resort, including its restaurant, are still under construction.

Brick and Basil Wood Fired Bistro offers Italian dishes to its guests. The main star on their menu is their wood-fired pizzas in various flavors. They also have pasta and bruschettas for a filling snack. If you prefer something heavier, there’s also beef and salmon choices on the menu. The food is best paired with some classic wine they likewise serve.

3. Forno Osteria

If you fancy brick oven pizza, freshly made pasta, succulent steaks, and even gluten-free pizzas, Forno Osteria is the place you can consider. The restaurant also offers fried pizza which is a famous street food from Naples, Italy.

Their house specialty is their Charcuterie Platter, a French word for smoked, dry-cured or cooked meats. The platter includes guaciale (Italian pork cheeks) and speck. It also includes house made ricotta cheese, olives a la forno, and giardiniera, an Italian relish of pickled vegetables.

The new resort is located at the beachfront in Station 2 which is closer to Station 3. It has 250 rooms with a modern beach club vibe. Amid its beachfront location, the resort houses numerous swimming pools. The resort also has an open restaurant area facing the beach that offers buffet daily. Each night, their guests are serenaded by their live band.

With the island’s continuous rehabilitation, tourists are encouraged to take their part by following simple beach rules. It is also important to note that a daily limit of 6,405 tourists is still implemented in Boracay in line with its carrying capacity. So if you’re visiting the island this summer, be a responsible traveler.

With the island’s constant developments, exploring it will surely make for an exciting time!
