Start your summer with a visit to Tagaytay’s well-celebrated amusement park and an ideal place to go in Tagaytay. Sky Ranch, the 5-hectare leisure complex, has always been a crowd favorite since it opened last 2013 because of its enjoyable amusement rides and its prime location, which presents a stunning view of Taal Lake and Volcano.

Take in the Tagaytay view by riding the Sky Eye, the tallest Ferris wheel in the country at 63 meters, or by taking the Zipline, a 300-meter glide over a breathtaking panorama of Tagaytay. Other rides for thrill-seekers include the Sky Cruiser, an aerial ride where you can pedal your vehicle around an elevated track; the Super Viking, an open-seated gondola that swings up to 90 degrees back and forth; and the Log Coaster, a high-speed roller coaster.

Sky Ranch has gazebos for rent, as well as souvenir shops, a park clinic, and even a breastfeeding station. The admission fee is PhP100 with an access to Main Park and the Royal Canin Paw Park. Each ride has its entrance fee, and parking rates are also imposed for bicycles, cars, and tour buses.

2. Tagaytay Picnic Grove

If you prefer a more laidback summer getaway in the leisure city of Tagaytay, then the vast and vibrant expanse of Tagaytay Picnic Grove should be pinned on your map. Situated at a comfortable height in Tagaytay Ridge, the 13-hectare Picnic Grove is famous for its natural sceneries: the eco-adventure trail full of beautiful hanging bridges and boardwalks; the meadows where you can go horseback riding for PhP350/hour; and the magnificent view of Taal, as seen while zooming through the zip line, which comes at PhP300 per trip.

But usually, families and groups come here to sit comfortably back and relax. In this case, they can rent picnic huts, cottages, or sheds in the place or avail of hammocks for a cozier afternoon. Entrance to the grove is at PhP50, and parking fees apply. There are also food stalls within the area, and souvenir shops to buy gifts to remember your trip by.

Practically the same thing as camping, only with luxury hotel amenities like carpet matting décor, tea, and fairy lights, cozy mattresses in satin sheets, adorned with fluffy pillows and woolen blankets. 8 Suites also offers complimentary coffee, tea, and smores, entrance to their infinity spa, and breakfast for couples or groups.
