You may have the best sound system at home, or have all the latest pop songs in your phone, but one thing’s for sure, nothing beats seeing local artists perform live. Watching them perform with you in the live audience is unquestionably satisfying to the ears and soul. This month, there are few live shows in Bacolod City that should be part of your watch list. For the best concert experience, here’s a guide to the upcoming live shows to look out for this June in the City of Smiles.

1. 40TH MEGA PHILIPPINE TOUR

When: June 1, 8:00 pm

Sharon Cuneta is a Filipino singer famously known as the “Megastar". Her first hit single "Mr. DJ" in 1978 catapulted her career into new heights. Her other equally famous songs are Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko, Highschool Life, Sana’y Wala nang Wakas and Bituing Walang Ningning. This May, die-hard Sharonians will get to hear these classic hits live at the SMX Convention Center, in the Bacolod leg of her 40th Mega Philippine Tour.

How to get there: From Iloilo you need to take a ferry ride going to Bacolod. SMX is just near the BREDCO Port so you can just have a tricycle ride to the venue or you can have a little walk to SM City Bacolod. Coming from south of the city, you can ride jeepney with a route Punta Taytay – Central Market, Airport Subd. – Central Market and Tangub – Central Market. Coming from the north of the city, take the jeepney Bata – Libertad or Mandalagan – Libertad tell the jeepney driver that you are going to SM City.

2. MOSH WITH JESUS PRESENTS CRUSADE

When: June 16, 5:00 pm
Where: Benjamin Hall, 4th Lacson St. Bacolod City
Ticket Prices: Php 100

Jam the night away in the biggest Christian music gathering in Western Visayas at the CRUSADE presented by Mosh Jesus.

Looking for a fun worship experience? The biggest gathering of Christian music in Western Visayas will be happening this June. Christian artists from Manila, Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo will jam the night away as they officially launch Mosh with Jesus Iloilo and Bacolod City. Guest bands from Manila are BoughtByBlood, REBORN – Philippines and To Die Is Gain.

How to get there: Coming from northern Bacolod, take a jeepney ride routing Mandalagan – Libertad and tell the driver to drop you at KFC along Lagoon. Coming from southern Bacolod take a jeepney ride routing Bata – Libertad and tell the jeepney driver to drop you at KFC along Lacson Street. Just a few minutes from KFC you will reach Benjamin Hall.

3. A PLACE WHERE WE ARE GREAT IV

When: June 2, 5:30 pm
Where: Mandala Centering Place, Burgos Extension, Villa Angela, Bacolod City
Ticket Prices: Free Admission

Find your center while watching the soothing aerial dances at the MCP Mandala Centering Place recital.

MCP Mandala is hosting its fourth recital of various dance genres like ballet, aerial silks and aerial hammock. A performance by all their students from ages 2 to 62 will be witnessed during this event. If you want to watch some dance presentation and performances for free then joining this event is perfect for you.

How to get there: From Bacolod Downtown area take a jeepney routing Santa Fe – Central Market or Fortune Towne – Central Market and tell the driver to drop you on Mandala Centering Place.

4. ALL OUT WAR

When: June 30, 2018 7:00 pm
Where: G Avenue, San Sebastian St., Bacolod City

Let loose and bang your head to the beat of heavy metal music at All Out War this June.

Metalcore lovers raise your hand horns as All Out War will set Bacolod on fire this June! If you are in for screamo, jumping, and headbanging, then this is an ideal event for you. A special guest band Destroy Pretty Boy from Manila will be performing alongside metalcore bands of Iloilo and Bacolod.

How to get there: Coming from the north part of Bacolod, take a jeepney ride routing Bata – Libertad and tell the driver to drop you at G Point Avenue, San Sebastian Street. Coming From the south part of Bacolod, take a jeepney ride routing Alijis – Central market, Punta Taytay – Central Market, Airport – Central Market, and Magsungay – Central Market. Tell the jeepney driver to drop you at G Point Avenue, San Sebastian Street.
