Circa 1900, composed of two heritage houses turned restaurants, combines old-world charm with international cuisine featuring local ingredients. One of the houses is called Casa Uno, where couples can have a reception for 150 people at the garden or host 100 people at the upper level dining area. A stone’s throw away from Casa Uno is Casa Dos, a converted turn-of-the-century ancestral house. For events, Casa Dos has the Belvedere, an open-air function venue with a pool.

Things to consider in a wedding venue

• Having a wedding involves a lot of planning. Before inquiring about wedding venue rates, think about how big or small you want your wedding party to be. Remember that some venues require a minimum number of guests while others charge per person.

• Once you get a quote from potential venues, check back with your guest list or your budget. You can then decide whether to scale up or down.

• Upon booking the venue, communicate closely with the events manager of the establishment. Present to him or her your desired floor plan yourself or through your wedding coordinator. Iron out the details of making this possible.

• Whether you hold your reception by the beach or at the city, Cebu has no shortage of wedding venues for couples to choose from.
