It is also the time when godparents start shopping for gifts for their godchildren. While you may want to have something to give to the little ones, Christmas shopping may put a huge dent on your budget especially if you have a long Christmas list.

But, fret not. We came up with a list of shopping centers where you can cop a number of cheap yet nice finds in Cebu.



1. Unitop Cebu

First established as a small junk shop in 2000, Unitop has alreadys branches in four major cities in Cebu: Mandaue, Talisay, Lapu-Lapu, and Cebu. The place sells just about anything under the sun, including home and office supplies, clothing, furniture and appliances, electronic gadgets, and children’s toys, among others. The prices of these products are so low that many customers have the place on top of their list every time they need something at home. It is a one-stop shop where you can tick off all the names in your Christmas list with ease.



2. Gaisano Country Mall

Where: Banilad Road, Cebu City
Operating Hours:
Supermarket: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Department store: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Even as many other malls have wrestled the title of being the biggest and grandest mall in the Queen City of the South, Gaisano Country Mall is still a place to be when you are looking for cheap finds. Most of the merchandise sold in this mall are cheaper compared to the ones available in bigger malls around the city. Aside from inexpensive merchandise, the mall also plays host to restaurants not normally found in other malls, like Black Angus, Ofukusan Japanese Restaurant, and A Taste of Mandarin. The tickets at the movie theater are also cheaper than the ones in other malls in the city.


3. APM Shopping Mall

Where: A. Soriano Avenue Mabolo Cebu City
Operating Hours: 10:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Looking for inexpensive yet stylish apparel will not be a problem at the APM Shopping Mall.

If you are thinking of giving a mobile phone or mobile phone accessories for Christmas, you may want to check out APM Shopping Mall. Aside from mobile phones, the mall is also home to a number of stalls selling ready-to-wear merchandise, bags, wallets, and shoes, among others. There are also some stalls offering jewelry and fashion accessories. In addition, the place also has a small food court where you can grab a bite to eat after searching for that perfect gift for your godchildren.


4. Elizabeth Mall

Elizabeth Mall or E-Mall is considered as the shopping center of the south. It caters mainly to students and professionals in the area. Travelers taking a ride at the Cebu City South Bus Terminal also shop here. The mall has four levels. The ground floor houses fast-food restaurants and a supermarket. Boutiques and retailers selling clothes and accessories occupy the second floor. The third floor is reserved for electronic gadgets. On the other hand, the four floor is mainly an activity and entertainment area where events can be held.



5. Colonnade Mall

Where: Colon St., Cebu City
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The 6,000-square-meter shopping center is home to different stalls offering clothes, electronic gadgets, fashion accessories, and many other products. But, many shoppers flock to Colonnade Mall for the cheap grocery items. Some of these shoppers own small convenience stores and they resell the merchandise they’d get at the mall.
