It’s the love month. Of course, Valentine’s Day is always a great excuse to spend extra special time with your loved one. Even though V-day is not an official holiday, for sure, people will flock to your favorite hangout spots just because they want to celebrate too!

But don’t worry, give your favorite destinations a rest to try out these newly opened ones that are probably still under your radar. Grab your loved one and spend Valentine’s Day at any of these places. If you are single, bring your barkada along and celebrate V-day with the rest of the world!



Venice Cineplex

Because of its famous gondolas and majestic and picture-worthy Canal, Venice Grand Canal Mall is packed with people V-day or not. Skip the crowd and head over to the newest attraction of their mall instead, the Venice Cineplex.

Venice Cineplex boasts of five theaters that promise you extravagant viewing experience. Cinemas 2 and 5 give moviegoers a rich and breath-taking entertainment through Dolby Atmos System. You may also try the VIP Cinema that offers spacious walkways and reclining leather love seats complete with small lamps and trays for your personal belongings. With one push of a button, a butler will attend to your needs in case you run out of popcorn and drinks.

SM Mall of Asia in Pasay also opened new theaters in their cinema to accommodate more viewers. Just last December, Cinema 7 and 8 were opened to give audience a better viewing experience and a cozy waiting lounge. The theaters have a stadium-type seating arrangement for a better view of the screen wherever you are seated. The seats are also bigger and better. Plus, it has a much larger leg room so you can stretch your limbs out during the movie.

SM MOA also added a lounge area furnished with tables, chairs, and comfy cushions. Here, you can wait and grab some snacks before the movie starts.


Noche – Dine in the Dark Manila

Opened last October of 2016, Noche is the newest concept restaurant in the metro where you dine completely in the dark. Not just dim lighting or candlelight dinner, but utter and complete darkness! While eating, the crew will serve you mystery drinks and meals to make your dinner all the more unforgettable.

Noche offers dinner every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Diners are given a briefing on what to expect before they begin the dinner and were advised to leave their belongings and other accessories that will emit light on their security area before entering the dining area.

You can use the washroom during dinner too, but Noche prefers that you don’t so you can be submerged completely to the experience until the end. No worries about getting messy because you’ll be provided with aprons and gloves just in case.



La Spezia

For Php450, you can enter the whole place and take pictures to your heart’s content with over 15 features and concept rooms. They also have a snack area, Bingo 25, where you can grab a quick rest and refreshment after hours of posing in front of a camera. You’ll definitely leave this place with plenty of pictures, memories, and laughs.
