You can always go right with the top local shoe or brands of sandals in the Philippines when it comes to shoes, sandals, or any footwear. However, we Filipinos love everything branded because, for most people, it translates to sound quality. They are even perceived as a status symbol. But most of us need clarification on branded with imported. The only items worth wearing footwear are those from a different shore.

But thanks to Filipino footwear innovation, our local brand shoes are now stepping up. We asked our readers about their top local shoe brands in the Philippines. Check out who made it on the list and now stepping up their game.

Ceferino Roxas Enriquez started his shoemaking business 1955 called Meg’s, which catered to men, women, and children. In 1986, he focused on women’s footwear and called it Figlia, which means daughter in Italian. From then, the business grew under the management of his son Joey.

They are among the top producers of ladies’ local brand shoes today. Their trendy footwear designs that span from casual flats to high heels are perfect for formal attire and have become a go-to choice for women.

This local brand shoes is inspired by Sy’s travels to Paris to bring fashion trends from the country to the Philippines. World Balance is the brand that claimed our top three in the list of local shoe brands in the Philippines. Founded in 1980, World Balance became a famous local brand of shoes because, unlike most companies of local brand shoes that create footwear for offices and schools, they chose to develop sneakers. World Balance caters to children and adults who need affordable yet durable footwear that matches their active lifestyle. Today, World Balance has extended its product line from athletic shoes to laidback sneakers and everyday sandals for men and women. These shoes made in the Philippines also added a clothing and accessories line to its arsenal, making them a one-stop shop athletics store.

2. CLN and Gibi Shoes

These two Filipino local brand shoes reached our second spot: CLN and Gibi Shoes!

CLN started as a small footwear store in the ‘70s at Escolta, Manila. Owners Ben and Vicky Chan started selling shoes for women, but their product line has now expanded to bags, accessories, and clothes. The team behind CLN believes they could withstand the times with their talent to adapt to changes and improve their product. Celine, a company of local brand shoes, decided to change its brand name to CLN to target modern and fashion-forward women. With their efforts to expand and cater to a bigger audience, they also added the brands CMG and Traffic Footwear under their belt.
