4 Exciting Events and Shows This Holiday Season to Catch in Casinos
Casino events can be at their most interesting during the holidays!

With 2018 just around the corner, there are still some few shows and events to participate in this holiday season before we wrap up the year. While many establishments have their own range of events and parties, casinos are the more popular attractions in the Metro. Below are four exciting casino events to catch before welcoming the new year ahead.
What: The Oven with a Twist of Christmas Hits Manila: Bamboo
When: December 7, 8:00 PM

Bamboo Mañalac is a well-known singer in the rock genre.
The Voice coach and former Rivermaya frontman Bamboo Mañalac will be having a special Christmas concert called “The Oven with A Twist of Christmas Hits Manila: Bamboo.” He will be joined on stage by two former The Voice alumnae and Camp Kawayan team members Elha Nympha and Isabela Vinzon.
Bamboo is behind the local hits “Tatsulok” (Triangle), “Probinsyana” (Girl from the Province), “So Far Away,” and “Noypi.” He was a member of the Filipino alternative rock band Rivermaya during the ‘90s. He went solo after four years with the band.

How to get there: To get to Resorts World, take the MRT-Line 3 and get off at Taft Avenue station. Head towards the northbound side of the station and go down the stairs. Turn left to the passageway near a terminal of jeepneys going to the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). This is located near McDonald’s. Afterwards, ride the white Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal (NAIA) 3 shuttle commuter bus. The fare for the shuttle is PhP20.
What: Ookay
This will be the first show of Ookay (or Abraham Laguna) in the Philippines.
American electronic dance music (EDM) producer and DJ Ookay will headline the Chaos Club at the City of Dreams. He will be joined by local DJs Supmerman & MVRXX along with Jet Boado and MC Ronthug. The 25-year-old previously collaborated with another EDM sensation Marshmello, who also went to the country earlier this year. Miley Cyrus’ younger sister Noah is also among the few musicians who have collaborated with Ookay.
Ookay’s famous songs include “Chasing Colors,” “Stay Forever,” “Thief,” and “Lighthouse.” The event is via reservations; for table bookings, contact City of Dreams at (02) 800 8080.
How to get there: Take the MRT and get off at Taft Avenue Station. Ride one of the jeepneys heading towards the front area and wait for the free shuttle service. The earliest arrival of the shuttle is at 11:00 AM and the last one arrives at 1:30 AM.
What: A Wonderful Christmas with Pororo
When: December 16 (3:00 PM and 7:00 PM) and 17 (3:00 PM)
Where: Resorts World Manila

This event could be a great way to bond with the family!
Of course, adults are not the only ones who can have fun. Kids can celebrate an early Christmas with Pororo along with his friends Crong, Eddy, Loopy, Petty, and Harry at Resort World Manila’s “A Wonderful Christmas with Pororo.” The whole family can join Pororo and his friends as they meet Santa Claus.
Pororo the Little Penguin is a South Korean computer-animated show created in 2003. The event is organized by Circles Entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketworld outlets and through the Ticketworld website.

What: The Grand Countdown to 2018
When: December 31, 6:00 PM onward
Where: Resorts World Manila
Prices:
PhP12,000 for Gold
PhP14,000 for VIP
PhP16,000 for SVIP
The event started last 2014.
After celebrating Christmas, the Marriott Hotel at Resorts World Manila will have their annual New Year countdown party featuring special guests such as Journey frontman Arnel Pineda, The Voice alumnus Darren Espanto, Tawag ng Tanghalan second placer Sam Mangubat, Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, and comedians Giselle Sanchez and Jon Santos.
The event will kick off with a 6:00 PM mass, followed by the dinner and show at 7:00 PM. Resorts World Manila’s international dancers and acrobats, T3iO, and Juan Miguel Salvador and The Authority Band will also be performing at the event. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress for the event.

Tips for ticket purchasing and watching:
• Be as early as possible. Some shows do not allow late-comers to enter after the show starts. Get to the place on time by adjusting your travel time accordingly to avoid traffic on the way to the show.

• Double-check the dates and times of the events and your own schedule to see if you need to make adjustments.
• Check the rules and conditions of the venue to avoid any inconvenience.
