Named The Dangwa Flower Market is named after the Dangwa Tranco Bus Terminal. Since the mid-1970s, it has been the bagsakan (main source) of flowers in Metro Manila. It gets the majority of its blooms straight from Benguet, but stocks from Davao, Tagaytay, and Laguna are also available.
In 1994, the Dangwa Manila started operating 24/7; at present, you can visit Dangwa anytime. As expected, Dangwa is at its busiest during significant holidays, wherein flowers are in demand. These holidays include Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, All Saint’s Day, and Holy Week.
2. Know the possible routes.
No matter where you may be coming from, there are a lot of ways to get to Dangwa.
Since the Flower Center of Metro Manila is located at Sampaloc, Manila, there are a handful of ways to get there. For those coming from the province, the buses at the Dangwa Tranco Bus Terminal, bound for Bulacan, Banaue, and Nueva Ecija, all pass by the market.
How to go to Dangwa if you’re coming from Metro Manila: You can ride jeepneys bound for Quiapo and alight there. From Quiapo, take another jeep and alight at Dangwa. There are also many Quiapo-bound jeepneys from Quezon City; after alighting at Quiapo, follow the same route as the one mentioned above. From Taft Avenue, Dapitan-UST and Blumentritt-Dimasalang can also be ridden to get to Dangwa Flower Market.
3. Know when to go.

Even though Dangwa Manila is open at all times of the week, there are still prime times to pay it a visit to ensure you get the freshest blooms. Many stalls usually have their flowers delivered from 8 to 10 at night until well past midnight. If you want first dibs on all flowers, visit the market between one and three in the morning.
Moreover, according to Dangwa Flower Market veterans, Thursday is your best bet in the week if you want to have the most options to choose from. Only partially within the weekend rush and late enough in the week, make it a goal to pay a visit on a Thursday if ever needed.

• Dos Castillas and Dimasalang Streets are the major areas of the Dangwa Flower Market. Somewhere in the middle of Dos Castillas Street is the warehouse-like Manila Flower Market, wherein customized arrangements are available.
• Tropical flowers, secondhand furniture pieces, and ornamental fruits can be found within Laong Laan Street. It is also the street where the former train station was located.
• Found on the corner of Laong Laan and Dos Castillas Streets is the La Taza Café, another option if you are looking for blooms that have made you hungry. It is also aesthetically beautiful, therefore, ideal for spontaneous photo ops, which is also a huge plus.
• A good landmark when you need a shopping break in Dangwa Flower Market is the Chowking branch located at the corner of AH Lacson, where you can take a bathroom break or refuel. There is also a Mercury Drug branch at the intersection of Forbes and Laong Laan Streets if you’re in need of refreshments.
