Christmas is the time to be sweet…and to give sweets!

Sweets suit the festive season, don’t you agree? There is probably no sweeter way to show how much your loved ones mean to you than by giving them a delicious box of baked goodies on the biggest holiday of the year. Baked goods such as cakes and cookies are often the go-to treats. People who are blessed with baking skills can make their own gifts at home, but not everyone can do this. To those who can’t, there are good ready-made Christmas cookies you can buy! Below are five shops in Metro Manila where you can score Christmas cookies that can be your ultimate gift this season.

1. Chocolate Chip Cookies by Mood Bake

Where to buy: Mood Bake online, pop-up stores at Greenbelt 5 and Glorietta 4

Mood Bake is new to the line of cookie chains in Metro Manila, but it’s making itself known with its chunky chocolate chip cookies. The cookies have a crumbly exterior, but once you take a bite, you’d taste the decadent and moist chocolates incorporated in them. The box already comes in a pretty minimalist pastel packaging so you don’t have to worry about wrapping it. Other cookie variants available are matcha and double choco.

How to go to Mood Bake’s Pop-up Stores:
Glorietta: Ride the MRT and get off at Ayala Station. Walk towards SM Makati as it is interconnected with Glorietta

Greenbelt: Ride the MRT to Ayala Station. Once you arrive at the station, walk inside SM Makati. The mall is interconnected to Greenbelt, so walk along until you get to it.

Since 1975, Famous Amos’ cookies have been a favorite of many American generations. In the past, the world-famous treats were found in grocery stores in the Philippines, but they disappeared. Luckily, just this 2019, the cookie chain came back to the country—welcome news for those who missed the brand’s freshly baked goods! The classic cookie that the store is known for is the no nut chocolate chip, which has semi-sweet chocolate chips. Other flavors to choose from are double chocolate chip pecan, chocolate white chocolate chip, oatmeal, butterscotch, chocolate chip pecan, white chocolate macadamia, and chocolate chip macadamia.

How to go to Famous Amos (SM North EDSA branch): Take the MRT-3 then get off at the North Avenue Station. The station is directly linked to Trinoma so enter the mall and then use the connecting bridgeway between Trinoma and SM North EDSA to get to the latter. Famous Amos is located on the ground floor.

5. Craft-Your-Cookies by Scout’s Honor

Where to buy: Scout’s Honor, Hole In The Wall, 4/F Century City Mall, Kalayaan Ave, Poblacion, Makati

Meanwhile, the cookie toppings you can choose from include dried fruits, sweets, cream cheese, chocolates, and trail mix. If you’re not into creating cookies, you can buy their ready made cookies in the following flavors: matcha sesame, cookie inception, cereal cookie bar, and s’mores tag-alongs.

How to go to Scout’s Honor: Ride the MRT-3 and alight at Guadalupe Station. Exit at the southbound side of EDSA. From there, ride a jeepney with an “Ayala JP Rizal Makati Ave Guad Ibabaw” sign. Pay the minimum fare and alight at Makati cor Kalayaan, which is past A Venue Mall. Walk along Kalayaan Avenue to get to Century City Mall. It is the C-shaped building.
