The Philippines is blessed with the most beautiful beaches. Besides the warm sand and glass-like oceans, the country’s tropical setting makes the beaches the perfect place for a summer destination. While lots of popular destinations require plane tickets, some are located just a few hours drive away from Manila. One of them is quietly nestled in the heart of Subic Bay Freeport Zone: All Hands Beach.

With a picture-perfect stretch of sand and blue waters, All Hands Beach has an unspoiled beauty that can leave anyone breathless. It’s one of those peaceful, remote beaches where you can lie under the sun without worrying about the crowd. Now that the place is getting back on track under the new normal, it has imposed protocols for guests and employees to keep everybody healthy and protected. Read on to learn more about the beach’s safety guidelines.

All Hands On Deck!

Located just between Subic Bay International Airport and Subic Container Terminal, All Hands Beach boasts soft sand and calm, clear waters. Fun fact: back in 1956, the place was one of the swimming beaches of the U.S. Navy along with Dungaree Beach and Officer’s Beach. The beach’s name was derived from the well-known Navy saying “All Hands On Deck”, which means “everyone has to go to the deck”. It does not have an adjacent residential community or inland river, making it free from pollution.

What makes the beach more attractive and interesting is that besides its abundance in marine life, it is also a nesting site for marine turtles from the month of October until February. Imagine how fascinating it is to see baby turtles hatch from their eggs and make their way into the sea!

The resort offers single-detached buildings for rooms, giving guests a more private and personal stay. All rooms provide an unobstructed view of the beach and are equipped with basic necessities including a TV with satellite service, a queen-sized bed and double deck beds, refrigerator, bathrooms, a coffee table, and a complimentary shoreline breakfast buffet at Dayrit’s Kitchen. There are buildings with two floors for groups with 5 members or more, and even PWD-friendly rooms.

Fun water activities like a banana boat and dragon boat ride can be availed for PhP300 per head. Land activities like sunbathing or beach volleyball can also be done at the place.

Safety Precautions in the Beach

As the beach reopens under the new normal, it imposed guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force in order to ensure the safety and protection of guests:

• Rooms will be significantly reduced to comply with the 30% capacity guideline.
• Swimming lanes paired to guests’ respective pentagon huts will be implemented to observe social distancing.
• The tables and at Dayrit’s Kitchen will be placed one to two meters apart for social distancing.

All Hands Beach’s priority is to keep its guess safe while giving them a warm and peaceful vacation experience. Just remember to adhere to the guidelines given by the place, and you’ll be making up for your lost summer trip in no time.
