Bag of Beans is a chic cafe and restaurant located in the heart of the city. Serving pleasant coffee and delicious meals, the place is a crowd favorite when it comes to dining and unwinding. Now that the cafe finally reopened and resumed its dine-in services, it is important to take note of their safety precautions for dine-in to fully experience a safe, comfortable, and rewarding visit.

A Fabulous Place for Coffee Lovers

When listing down the best places to eat in Tagaytay, Bag of Beans is always mentioned. Serving satisfied customers for 21 years, the place has rustic and charming interiors that are as relaxing as they are picturesque. The cafe offers a wide selection of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages and iced and hot coffee. Coffee drinks like ice blended mocha frappe, coffee choco banana frost, and black forest frappe are only some of the cafe’s must-tries. While you’re here, don’t miss the chance to get a taste of the place’s best-selling kapeng barako (Batangas coffee). If you’re up for non-caffeinated drinks, you can always go for fruit shakes and milkshakes which are equally refreshing. To complete the dining experience, Bag of Beans also serves various dishes that can perfectly complement your beverage. You can choose between entrees, pancakes, breakfast favorites, local favorites, salads, soups, pastas, sandwiches, and pizzas.



Not only is the cafe known for its hearty menu, but it is also one of the many popular spots that offer an astounding view of the Taal Volcano. Safety Precautions in the Cafe

Bag of Beans reopened last August 20, 2020. The cafe resumed dine-in operations but only at 30% capacity. It also released an updated list of its safety guidelines that all guests and employees must strictly follow:

• Customers must present a quarantine pass before entering. Quarantine passes issued from any city is allowed.
• Employees are required to present a rapid pass and a company ID.
• Frontliners must present a company ID as well.
• All individuals must wear face masks and face shields inside the premises.
• Before entering the cafe, guests and employees must fill out a contact tracing form, undergo mandatory temperature screening, and sanitize hands.
• Pregnant women, senior citizens, and people under the age of 21 are discouraged to dine in. Senior citizens must have a special pass issued from their respective areas to be able to enter the cafe.
• The main branch will operate from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM every weekday, and 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM every weekend.

Summit Ridge Tagaytay: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends
Athena: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends
Westlake (for take-out and delivery): 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays, 7:00 to 6:00 on weekends
