As Filipinos, we grow up seeing only a spoon and fork on our tables. But aside from these two companions on the dining table, there is a huge range of cutlery that you can use to make your dining experience better. If you’re planning to host a party this upcoming holiday season, you must already know that one way to level up the experience is to upgrade your set of Christmas cutlery. Don’t let your guests cut their meat with everyday utensils or, worse, brittle plastic ones!

Tea time would be a fantastic way to spend time with family or friends, and what more can add to the fancy vibe than floral cutlery? One cutlery set that matches the tea time vibe is Heart and Home PH’s dainty teaspoons (PhP280 per set and PhP80 per piece), which features intricate floral designs. It’s pretty enough to inspire one to start a teaspoon collection for future tita tea parties. Heart and Home PH also sells fancy floral cups and saucers which can match these teaspoons.

At your parents’ or grandparents’ house, you might have used fancy silverware they only take out for special occasions like Christmas. Those might be a good grade of silverware, which is expected to last a long time and can be heirloom pieces. If you plan to leave heirloom cutlery for your children someday, consider sturdy and timeless pieces. The Monique Lhuillier Marlowe Rose Gold Flatware from Pottery Barn is a modern cutlery set has a grade of 18/8 which means it has 18% chromium and 8% nickel. This composition makes it sturdy and less likely to rust over time. All pieces are also hand formed and forged and comes in sets of five (USD20 or approx. PhP2519) and 20 (USD179 or approx. PhP9018.02).
