Opened in May 2017, The Palms Food Complex is one of the newest food crawl and hangout places in Lacson Street. It is an open-air area with a bunch of tables out front where guests can sit. It houses several restaurants which serves local fare, meals, and drinks. Some container vans were even converted into food kiosks where you can pick up some food which appeals to you. Palms Food Complex features a second-floor deck which makes it unusual from other food parks in the city. Do take note that it gets crowded at night.

White Hotel Bacolod is a two-storey old ancestral house which used to be a museum in the 1950s. It was recently converted into a hotel which opened last July. It is located along the short stretch of Burgos Avenue, previously known as “Millionaires Row,” a street where several grand mansions stand and most of the old wealthy families in Bacolod used to live. The façade is all that’s left of the original structure while the interiors have been renewed with a modern design. An art collection adds to the warm vibe of the place. Despite the “olden days” feel, the hotel is equipped with fast internet connection and 24/7 security for their guests.

The hotel has several lodging options ranging from PhP1,125 to PhP2,000 depending on your choice of room and number of guests.

3. CityMall Goldenfields Bacolod

Operating Hours: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Mondays to Sundays

Bacolod City has become the new home of CityMall as it opened its 10th outlet in the province last August. As a matter of fact, there are several CityMall Bacolod branches which opened just last year including those in Mandalagan, Kabankalan, Victorias, and San Carlos. One of its recent and significant developments in the north of Bacolod is CityMall Goldenfields Bacolod. It is located in the prime commercial corner lot along Araneta Street across the old airport. And much like any other community malls, it holds some retail stores as well as rooftop parking and a cinema. It also has a food court with fast food chains like Jollibee, Mang Inasal, and Greenwich, among others.

4. Licuala Grandis Food Park

No matter how many restaurants and food hubs abound, newer eateries have a spot in the Bacolod dining scene because of the growing opportunities for local investments in the city. In fact, a big warehouse in CL Montelibano Street has recently developed into a food park known as Licuala Grandis Food Park to serve local diners. Opened last August, this new food hub houses several restaurants, food carts, and even a bazaar! Yes, apart from food, it has a shopping booth which allows guests to shop right in the middle of the action.

5. McDonald’s

Operating Hours: 24/7
Where: 69-2 Araneta Avenue, Bacolod City

Regardless of where you go in the country, you will always run into popular fast food chains. One of the known fast food restaurants in the country is McDonald’s which opened another branch in Araneta Street just last September. The addition of this restaurant in the food scene of southern Bacolod provides even more dining options for both locals and tourists. And much like any other fast food eateries, it offers drive-thru service for people on the go.
