Since the Philippines’ premier tourist destination, Boracay, has stopped accepting tourists last April 26, the provincial and city governments of Iloilo are preparing hotels and establishments to cater to the guests who are supposed to go to Boracay. As such, new resorts and hotels have opened, facilities and buildings are renovated, and tourist destinations
Iloilo Esplanade project realigned to protect mangroves
Some mangroves will be affected by the development of the Iloilo Esplanade along the Iloilo River. To address this, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will realign parts of the project in order to preserve the mangroves affected by the original layout. The project is built to protect the Iloilo River and showcase its serene view while also promoting active lifestyle.
