Iloilo Hailed the Cheapest Destination in the Philippines, according to a Booking Platform

Introducing the cheapest destination in the Philippines—Iloilo!

According to the latest findings by Agoda, a prominent booking platform, Iloilo is the most pocket-friendly travel destination in the Philippines to visit this summer. The city has secured the fifth position among Southeast Asian destinations with an average room rate of PhP2,814.

As per Agoda's list of "most affordable" tourist destinations, Udon Thani in Thailand tops the list with an average room rate of PhP1,576, following Udon Thani, Surabaya in Indonesia takes the second spot with PhP2,195, then Hue in Vietnam with PhP2,420, and finally Kuching in Malaysia with PhP2,758.

Bengaluru, India ranked 6th with a room rate of PhP3,096, followed by Narita, Japan, PhP3,996, and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, PhP5,684.

Agoda released its "Cheapest Destinations" list for Asia based on March 2024 booking data. According to the online travel agency's records, Iloilo took over the title from Bacolod, which was held in 2023.

Iloilo, also known as the City of Love, boasts many attractions that will surely capture your interest. From breathtaking beaches and secret lagoons to an 11-kilometer bike lane and a vibrant food culture, there's something for every discerning traveler to enjoy.
