This August, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) leads the celebration of Mandaue Business Month (MBM). Some of the events that will take place this month include a talk on business and corporate excellence, a tree planting activity, a search for motivating and inspiring individuals, and A Maze Mandaue. They will also have a medical mission on August 20 at the Mandaue Sports Complex.

WEATHER ADVISORY


Cebu will experience rainy weather this week.

Active Vista will hold the Dutch-Filipino Film Festival Opening this August 20, 5:00 PM at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu Movieworld. Paula van der Oest’s Lucia de B. (Accused) and Erik Matti’s Honor Thy Father will be shown. The event is in celebration of 150 years of diplomatic ties between the Netherlands and the Philippines. SM Supermalls celebrate Cyber Month this August. Shoppers will enjoy discounts of up to 50% on gadgets such as cameras, smartphones and phone accessories from August 1 to 31. Shoppers can visit the Cyberzone at the 2nd floor of the Northwing at SM City Cebu and at the 3rd floor of SM Seaside City Cebufor great deals on gadgets.


Mall Events on August 20


Two major events will happen at the SM City Cebu. Mall goers can dance along to live electronic dance music performed by DJs at the Cyber Tunes event from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Meanwhile, there will also be a colorful and vibrant parade of cosplayers at the Cosplay Carnival. The event will feature the costumes of famous anime characters from movies and TV series. The Cosplay Carnival will kick off at 2:00 PM and end at 5:00 PM.
