The National Museum of the Philippines-Bohol kicks off Museums and Galleries Month 2024 this October. This year's theme reflects the challenge of promoting cultural progress while preserving heritage, particularly in a province like Bohol, where traditions are deeply rooted. The event is expected to be unforgettable as the province celebrates rich heritage and cultural treasures.
As part of the Museum and Gallery Month 2024 celebration, the National Museum of the Philippines-Bohol hosts "Saturday Night at the Museum" every Saturday throughout October until 10:00 PM. This special event will also feature a beautiful Crafts and Crops Bazaar that showcases Bohol’s vibrant culture and heritage. Visitors can enjoy traditional Boholano food and drinks at the Azotea while supporting local artisans.
Visitors can also explore fascinating exhibits, including an installation by the Tubigon Raffia Gallery featuring the underwater beauty of the Danajon Bank Double-Barrier Reef, offering a glimpse of Bohol’s natural wonders.
This event aims to allow visitors to experience the museum uniquely and engagingly, with extended opening hours and special activities planned for each Saturday evening. It's a fantastic opportunity for both locals and tourists to explore the museum's exhibits and collections in a different light and to participate in guided tours and fun sessions. This initiative aims to promote a deeper appreciation for the arts and culture housed within the museum and to create a vibrant and dynamic cultural experience for all attendees.
More concessionaires include Purple Women, Makata Shirts PH, YMMYLYN ART, DYNA 3D, VM Museum & Gallery, and Weave Joy.
