The Philippines is now Michelin Guide’s new destination partner.

Marking a significant milestone in the culinary scene in the Philippines, the world-renowned Michelin Guide finally arrives in Manila and Environs, and Cebu. The prestigious Michelin Guide will focus on the culinary culture of Metro Manila and Cebu, as well as surrounding areas of Manila such as Pampanga, Tagaytay, and Cavite.

Discrete and expert inspectors from the Michelin Guide are said to meticulously explore these regions, trying out and seeking out the most promising dining destinations in the country. The most awaited selection will focus on the most talented chefs and dedicated teams, highlighting the culinary scene in the Philippines while celebrating their passions, innovation, and deep respect for the country’s flavors and traditions.

Michelin Guide will follow its historical method for selection, ensuring a consistent result. These universal methods of selection are the quality of the ingredients, the mastery of cooking techniques, the harmony of flavors, the cuisine's personality, and consistency both over time and throughout the menu.

Within its full selection, the Michelin Guide will convey its restaurant reviews through a system of distinctions awarded to special restaurants, one of which is the Michelin Stars: one Michelin star for restaurants with high-quality cooking worth a stop, two Michelin stars for restaurants with excellent cooking worth a detour, and three Michelin stars for exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.

In addition to the Michelin Stars, the selection also distinguishes restaurants in the Bib Gourmand category, which is awarded to those that serve excellent quality food at moderate prices.

Michelin Guide Philippines’ full restaurant selection for Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026 will be revealed at a special event before 2025 ends. The selections on Michelin Guide’s website, mobile application, and social media accounts will be free.
