Eastern Metro Manila (Marikina, Mandaluyong, Pasig) always has something new to offer when it comes to restaurants and cafes. Kapitolyo in Pasig, Lilac Street in Marikina, and Capitol Commons in Mandaluyong serve as home to a lot of dining establishments, offering a wide array of cuisines appealing to almost any palate. Shopping malls in the Mandaluyong area also have a long list of bars and coffee shops. But new restaurants and other dining establishments just keep coming—we’re not complaining, though.

This list features some of the newest additions to the restaurants in Eastern Manila for you to try if you are looking for a new and different dining experience:

Fat Daddy’s Smokehouse is a restaurant that features southern USA-inspired dishes, barbeque, and comfort food that can satisfy your craving. It opened just March of 2015, but recently had to go on a two-week shutdown to give way for some renovation. It reopened last October 27 to once again offer their specialty dishes such as Smoked Beef Brisket (Php320), Smoked US Pork Spare Ribs (Php320/Php620), and Triple Death Burger (Php280). They also serve desserts such as Salted Nutella and Oreo Delight (Php150 each).
