The Inter-Agency Council on Traffic (I-ACT) will start a stricter implementation of the motorcycle lane policy in major roads in Metro Manila starting November 14. There are no new rules to be implemented rather the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will just strictly enforce the current motorcycle lane regulations to help regulate traffic and prevent motorcycle-related accidents in the city’s major thoroughfares.

Areas of concern are C-5, Commonwealth Avenue, EDSA, and Macapagal Avenue. Motorcycle riders can expect to be checked for proper attire which includes crash helmet, long pants, and shoes. Meanwhile, motorbikes should have signal lights and side mirrors. Switching on of headlights will also be required at daytime.
