Cakes and pastries are always something to look forward to after a meal. More than just being great desserts, they also make any occasion all the more special; whether it’s a three-tiered cake with detailed piping or a simple chocolate roll, it will undoubtedly make things sweeter. If you’re looking for cakes and pastries for your upcoming celebration, here are some of the best cake and pastry shops in the Philippines!
First on our list of cake and pastry shops in the Philippines is Rowena’s Bakeshop. If you’re a frequenter of Tagaytay, you’ve probably passed and stopped by Rowena’s Bakeshop at least once or twice. The Rowena’s you know now, which features a café and serves a wide array of meals, cakes, and pastries, started as a small stall that sold snacks along the highway of Sta. Rosa and Tagaytay. It’s also one of the bakery shops near Metro Manila.
There are many cakes and pastries you can try at Rowena’s, and you can also serve their cakes and pastries as a dessert, but you can’t leave their store without trying their signature Buko Tart (coconut tart) (PhP370). These dessert treats are smaller versions of your favorite buko pie minus the messy part. It’s crumbly, sweet, and pairs well with a hot cup of coffee.
Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant is one of the well-known cake and pastry shops in the Philippines. This homegrown brand was founded over 20 years ago in Parañaque by three sisters who share a love for food. Today, Conti’s is famous for its sweets, desserts, and delectable dishes that come in huge servings. It serves cakes and pastries, too!
Long-time fans of Conti already know that their bestseller is the Mango Bravo (PhP985-mini / PhP1,635-regular). This beautiful cake is made with layers of cream, mango, mousse, and cashew meringue wafers, covered with white cream, topped with more mangoes, and drizzled with chocolate. The result is a delectable dessert with a crunch that will make any celebration all the more remarkable, especially for a table dessert!
Purple Oven’s Dark Mocha Sans Rival (L) and Lemon Bars (R) can be excellent choices for dessert cravings.

The third bakery on our list of cake and pastry shops in the Philippines is Purple Oven, a popular bakeshop in Pasig that supplies cakes and pastries to well-known cafés and coffee shops around the metro. Don’t worry; you don’t have to look for these cafés to taste Purple Oven’s cakes as the brand has stores.
Purple Oven serves a wide range of cakes, pies, and pastries, but one of its bestsellers is its Lemon Bars (PhP585-16pcs / PhP975-32 pcs), which can also serve as a dessert. The heavenly bars give a play of sweet and tangy with just the right amount of tart, and they’re the perfect pastry to pair with your afternoon tea.
The fourth on our list of cake and pastry shops in the Philippines is Estrel’s Caramel Cakes, which has been operating since 1946. This cake place is famous for its Caramel Cakes (PhP950 to PhP8,100-without fillings / PhP1,000 to PhP8,700-with fillings) dessert composed of fluffy chiffon cakes covered with a decadent spread of caramel icing.
If you’re considering having Estrel’s dessert at your next dessert party, order three to four days in advance. They bake their cakes daily to ensure freshness and only accept a certain number of orders daily, so make sure to call in early.
If you need a customized cake for any occasion, you know who to order from—Becky’s Kitchen!

Becky’s Kitchen might not ring a bell to some in the world of cake and pastry shops in the Philippines, but this humble bakeshop in Manila has been considered an institution for its amazing cakes and bakes. This cake shop serves a wide array of cakes and pastries ranging from rolls and bread to bars and fudges to their beautiful cakes.
For newbies at Becky’s Kitchen, their Swiss Chocolate Cake (PhP75-slice / PhP335-half / PhP600-whole) is one of their favorite items on the menu. One look and it may seem like your typical cake, but inside the white frosting are two layers of chocolate cake with a great toffee in the middle, and it is perfect for a dessert.
Cakes and pastries are always a welcome addition to any meal or party.
