No Tagaytay road trip is complete without a stop at Rowena’s and pasalubong from this store.

First on our list of cake and pastry shops in the Philippines is Rowena’s Bakeshop. If you’re a frequenter of Tagaytay, you’ve probably passed and stopped by Rowena’s Bakeshop at least once or twice. The Rowena’s you know now, which features a café and serves a wide array of meals, cakes, and pastries, started as a small stall that sold snacks along the highway of Sta. Rosa and Tagaytay. It’s also one of the bakery shops near Metro Manila.
There are many cakes and pastries you can try at Rowena’s, and you can also serve their cakes and pastries as a dessert, but you can’t leave their store without trying their signature Buko Tart
(coconut tart) (PhP370). These dessert
treats are smaller versions of your favorite buko
pie minus the messy part. It’s crumbly, sweet, and pairs well with a hot cup of coffee.
