Take advantage of this sunshine-filled week by trying out a wide selection of nature activities in Palawan. In Brooke’s Point, experience riding on the brand new e-trikes when you tour around the town. Another good news: you can start flying from Clark International Airport to Puerto Princesa International Airport on March 1 via Royal Air. Meanwhile, some of the island and beach destinations in El Nido are closed to public for the filming of Survivor Russia. Read on for details and more!

Weather: Mostly a sunny week with few morning rains

It’s sunny all throughout the week except on Thursday and Friday, which will see morning showers and will require you to bring an umbrella [1]. With the sun at its fullest, this week is the best time to visit the beach and work on your tan or try out other fun-filled water adventures like chasing waterfalls or whitewater tubing. If you’re feeling more adventurous, you might want to go day hiking, which is gradually becoming a popular activity in Palawan. Day temperature, meanwhile, ranges from 27 °C to 29 °C, while at night it ranges from 23 °C to 26 °C.

Brooke’s Point town gets 50 e-trikes

Brooke’s Point, a first-class town in southern Palawan, stands to receive 50 units of eco-friendly tricycles worth PhP22 million this month [2]. Each e-trike fits nine people and runs for eight hours with an hour of charging. These come as donations from the Department of Energy, which selected Brooke’s Point as one of the pilot recipients of its Urban Green City Project. The town was chosen for its strong environmental advocacy. The use of e-trikes signals the town’s gradual transition towards green transportation that promotes patronage of emission-free, renewables-dependent vehicles. Less fortunate drivers will receive the e-trikes on a rent-to-own scheme.
