If there’s one word that would describe the taste of Filipino food, that would be—timeless. Though many upscale, international restaurants have been established in the Philippines, Filipino food still tugs our hearts from feeling nostalgic to the sentimental taste of home. Filipino food surely does not only satisfy your tummies, but it also brings comfort to your soul.
With Puerto Princesa Palawan being a hotshot tourist spot in the country, tourists, particularly foreigners, love to come back to the Philippines because of the iconic Filipino dishes, and this
restaurant in Puerto Princesa is just the perfect spot for everything Filipino—
Titos Palawan!
Spend hours of dining, fun, and music at TITOS Palawan. This bar and restaurant in Palawan opened a month ago at the MCA Mall Compound last September 9, 2022. This newest dining place is known to locals in Palawan as their latest hangout place to catch up and spend their weekend nights, boasting its wide array of Filipino dishes. This restaurant also serves cocktail drinks and cold beer, and classic
Filipino food in Puerto Princesa.
This restaurant in Palawan finally opened its doors this year in delight to serve customers as a fresh start for this year’s holiday season.
The
‘tito’ behind the restaurant, Mr. Rommel Cruz, expressed that putting up
TITOS Palawan as an addition to other best restaurants in Puerto Princesa started established in 2021 to address the common interest of modern
titos—drinking. Mr. Cruz’s previous career has been affected by the pandemic; thus, he came up with the idea of establishing a restaurant of his own. More than catering to
‘titos’, the bar initially started to sell beer food such as
papaitan or a dish cooked using beef innards, and Filipino beef stew or
balbacua, which were also the bestsellers.
The bar and restaurant’s name, “Titos Palawan”, targets mainly people of that specific age group who are out to chill and dine on the city outskirts of Puerto Princesa.
The enticing ambiance inside the restaurant induces a fuzzy vibe with its red theme. With just enough space for 30 diners inside, TITOS Palawan can cater to a broader range of clients, not just adults but also small groups of friends on a weekday, after-shift hangouts, and families on a weekend bonding. The food options have also expanded from beer pulutan to Filipino meals and renditions of international and Asian-inspired cuisine.
Adding a unique twist to the menu, this
restaurant in Puerto Princesa promises to keep that signature taste that customers have always loved and supported. Their menu is anchored to the locals’ preference, which they think is one of the main reasons why the best restaurants in Puerto Princesa City are booming nowadays.
Among the menu options from TITOS Palawan are appetizers, healthy vegan options, pasta, signature Filipino breakfasts, American breakfast, main courses, and sandwiches. Delicious recommendations from the owner include Malay Dish Beef Rendang from Borneo at PhP350 and TITOS Banh Mi at only PhP165, a sandwich packed with full flavor as it hides the story of Palawan-Vietnam history. The bar always offers Happy Hour Cocktail Promotions at night with buy-one-take-one on select cocktail drinks and Acoustic Night Sessions.
