Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines, kicks off Filipino Food Month with an evening filled with mouthwatering dishes, vibrant performances, and more.

April is Filipino Food Month! Celebrate the country’s rich culture, heritage, and flavors, none other than the region that has the places hailed as the Philippines’ culinary capital and rice granary, Pampanga, and Central Luzon.

This month, Subic, Pampanga, and more places in Central Luzon are celebrating with a lineup of events and activities that both food lovers and enjoyers will experience.

Happening in Subic, The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority is thrilled to partner with the Department of Tourism - Region 3 Office for Central Luzon’s Culinary Extravaganza 2024, honoring Filipino Food Month.

Throughout the weekends in April, various restaurants will showcase a variety of Filipino delights, including street foods, delicacies, and Filipino fiestas at the Street Food Extravaganza, Filipino Kakanin and Meryenda Delights, Ihaw/Ningnang grill Fiesta, and Grand Filipino Fiesta.

Join in celebrating the vibrant culinary heritage and hop on the journey through various flavors at these participating restaurants: Buddha’s Bowl, Makimura Ramen Bar, Sands Resto Grill, Fusion Corner, Gerry’s Grill, Subic Grand Harbour Hotel, Teppan 101, Sexy Legs Chicken, The Clubhouse Restaurant, and Three Points Bistro.

The festive celebration of Filipino Food Month officially started on April 5 in Pampanga, and the events and activities will last a month.

One of Filipino Food Month’s highlights, Food Talks 2024: Beyond Borders, Filipino Flavors on a Global Plate, is also happening at Quest Plus Conference Center, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, on April 23, 2024.

Here are other activities that you should look out for in Central Luzon this Filipino food month:

• Calle Commercio: Tara Mangan at Nepo Center, Angeles, Pampanga every 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM until May 31;
• Nyaman na Ken! Sisig Cooking Demo at Angeles City on April 18;
• Manggasan Festival at Sta.Cruz, Zambales on April 18 to 20;
• Kapampangan Food in the Realm of Visual Arts Exhibit: A Photo Exhibit of Kapampangan Food at Angeles City on April 23;
• Nyaman Na Ken: An All-Out Central Luzon Food Showcase at Angeles City on April 23;
• Bataan Food Fair at Capitol Grounds, City of Balanga, on April 24;
• Kain Convention: Ang Kahalagahan at Kasaysayan ng Pagkaing Pilipino on April 24;
• Kultura sa Kusina, a cooking contest for Bataan residents featuring crabs and prawns as main ingredients at Bataan on April 24;
• Banga Festival at Balanga, Bataan on April 26;
• Ihawan sa Pandawan at Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija on April 26; and
• Dinamulag Festival Zambales Mango Festival at Iba, Zambales on May 2 to 11.
