Comply with Tagaytay’s guidelines and you’ll have a fun getaway in no time.

As of January 25, 2021, there have been a total of 231 confirmed cases and 9 active cases recorded in Tagaytay. One new case of death and one new case of recovery have also been recorded. It was also observed that since the city steadily increased its numbers of tourists over the past weeks, the number of cases increased as well, though at a manageable rate.

This led the authorities to reinstate a guideline they have implemented in the past. Effective February 1, 2021, establishments including restaurants, hotels, theme and amusement parks, souvenir shops, and pasalubong centers will have to be closed every Monday for disinfection purposes.

Travel Guidelines of Tagaytay

Below is a set of requirements and guidelines that all tourists must comply with in order to enjoy Tagaytay’s calming scenery once more:

1. A travel authority pass including a medical certificate coming from the municipal/city health office (for all residents and tourists coming from GCQ, MECQ, and ECQ areas) should be presented.

2. Guests must wear face masks and shields when going to tourist sites and public establishments in the city.

3. Everyone must observe social distancing and regular hand sanitizing.

4. A strict “no face mask and face shield, no ride” policy is implemented in all public transports.

5. Hotels and accommodations in Tagaytay must comply with the MGCQ guidelines and are only allowed to operate up to 50% capacity. They must also be DOT-accredited.

6. Some dining establishments in Tagaytay offer dine-in services. Both customers and employees must comply with health protocols such as wearing face masks and shields, social distancing, and proper hand sanitation.
