Traveling under new normal in the Philippines is less restrictive for younger age groups.

After extensive lockdowns, many areas and countries are open to traveling again under the new normal. In the Philippines, the government pushes for the reopening of destinations to attract tourists. While the pandemic is still not over, traveling under the new normal is now allowed but with differences in transportation and safety measure protocols.

Lesser travel requirements

There are various requirements and documents needed depending on the area of the trip itineraries. Most destinations require vax certificates, negative RT-PCR test results, and S-Pass. These requirements may change depending on the current alert level of the destinations, so before traveling, tourists should check the latest news updates.

As of March 2022, the complete list of Philippine destinations open to fully vaxxed travelers can be found on this website: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a_0H3bYeYZw8-Zh5J0lXH7GlpsBluIPA/view?usp=drivesdk.

Along with the prepared trip itineraries, tourists must also bring surgical masks that they should wear when traveling under the new normal. These masks are recommended to be changed every six hours. Double masking is an effective safety measure when inside indoor public transportation. Hand sanitizers, wipes, and alcohol will remain as essentials.
