The first step before arriving at El Nido is to visit the municipality’s website: https://elnidotourism.ph/, where travelers need to submit requirements such as:
• Valid ID
• Negative RT-PCR test result within the last 72 hours before arrival
After complying with the requirements, the website will generate a unique tourist QR code which will serve as the tourist’s pass and ID in any establishments in El Nido. Meanwhile, the government encourages tourists to visit only DOT-accredited tours and accommodations for safe vacationing.
Furthermore, travelers staying for more than seven days shall undergo an antigen test on their eighth day. If they tested positive, tourists will face a seven-day quarantine and testing—all expenses shouldered by the tourists.
As of writing, the Municipality of El Nido temporarily restricted entry of domestic travelers from the National Capital Region (NCR) Plus areas Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite.
