It is no secret that chicken wings are one of the superior comfort foods in existence. They can be cooked in so many ways, paired with various flavors, and eaten any time. This is why it is not a surprise when chicken wing restaurants sprouted like mushrooms all over the country. What makes some restaurants stand out, however, are their unique selection of flavors and affordable pricing. You’d be delighted to know that Baguio City houses a place where you can get the best of both worlds: Wingyard Baguio!

Opened in October 2018, Wingyard Baguio had to temporarily close down because of the pandemic. But it is now slowly getting back on track after the city was placed under a more relaxed quarantine status. The restaurant is only open to Baguio City residents for the meantime, and they have implemented safety guidelines to keep their diners safe. Read on to learn more.

A Place To Chase the Flavors

Home to an all-time favorite comfort food, Wingyard Baguio is known for its delectable chicken wings and various dips. Its menu consists of unique chicken wing flavors that are sure to take your taste buds on a gustatory ride. From sweet, rich flavors like Honey Chix to flavors with a fiery kick like Wingyard’s Red Reaper, the resto has got you covered. What’s interesting is that you can have the spicy flavors in mild, spicy, or super spicy levels, so you can go for the exact spiciness you crave! The place offers three kinds of orders for its wings: unlimited wings and drinks; unlimited wings, drinks, and rice; and a la carte wings.

Wingyard’s interiors are rustic and homey, making feasting on their wings twice as comfy and relaxing. Its wooden furniture, minimalist design, and wall calligraphy that says “Chase the flavors!” are only some of its features that make it Instagram-worthy.

Safety Precautions in the Restaurant

Wingyard has two branches in Baguio: one on Session Road and another at Leonard Wood. The Session Road branch is currently closed due to renovation, but the Leonard Wood branch is open for dine-in and delivery services. The resto’s operating hours are from Mondays to Sundays, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The place reopened last June 8, 2020 after receiving a Certificate of Compliance from the local government of Baguio City. To ensure the safety and protection of its guests, Wingyard laid down safety precautions that must be followed both by guests and employees:

• Those who enter must undergo mandatory temperature screening, clean their shoes using the sanitary mat at the entrance, and enter their details in a logbook (for customers).
• Entrance and exit points are separated.
• The whole restaurant and crew must sanitize before opening, between dining schedules and after closing.
• Face masks, shields, gloves, and hairnet must always be worn by the crew and will be replaced regularly.
• Social distancing and reconfigured seating will be implemented.
• Each table will have a plastic divider and will be placed 1 meter apart.
• A rule of “No face mask, no entry” will be followed.

At Wingyard Baguio, their customers’ health is at the top of their list. This only shows that they will take good care of their guests while serving the tastiest wings. And as a customer, it is also important to do your part to keep Wingyard a safe place to dine and chase the flavors!
