6 Absolutely Easy DIY Christmas Decorations for Designing Your Home
Turn your home into the land of Christmas with these DIY hacks.

Designing your home is both fun and relaxing, but it might get stressful as soon as it gets pricey or if you don’t have any idea where to start. With the Christmas season approaching, the pressure of making your home cheerful and merry is on. Impress your family and friends and save a few bucks with these design hacks that will make your home Christmas ready.
Christmas ball make-over
Give your old Christmas balls a make-over and make them new again.
Christmas balls are cute staple decors, but they can be an unnecessary expense if you buy new ones at the mall to replace last year’s set. If you have old ones at your home, clean and repaint them instead.
Going for a white Christmas theme? Paint your Christmas balls white and write in them for a personal touch. You can also sprinkle glitters, add pictures, or color the balls with mixed paints. Once they’re dry, hang them up on your Christmas tree.

Christmas banners
This Christmas banner will make your holiday extra festive!
If you’re not too fond of Christmas balls or if you want something different, try creating banners. Just get a sheet of thick paper such as construction paper, trace small banner shapes like the one in the photo, and cut each out. Customize it however you like. Create words or write milestones (baby’s first Christmas)—it’s up to you!
After creating your little banners, punch two holes on the upper part and insert a ribbon to join them all together. You can hang them on your Christmas tree or put them on your walls.

Styro-Snowman
Who says you need snow to create your own snowman?
Another cute and easy project is a snowman out of Styrofoam balls. They are easy to create and don’t require real snow! First, get two Styrofoam balls, a small one for the head and a larger one for the body. Insert a toothpick to connect the two balls or glue them together. Use push pins with rounded heads to act as eyes and nose.
You can attach a string on its head and hang it in your Christmas tree. If you’re into knitting or crocheting, you can also dress it up to make it cuter. You can also make a couple of styro-snowmen and glue them on a cardboard box for a centerpiece in your living room.

Red bow cookies
Even your plates will be festive with this ribbon hack.
For this effortless hack, all you need is some red ribbon. Make your table a little more festive by tying a little bow at the edge of the plate. Fill the plate with your favorite Christmas cookies and you’re good to go!
You can also choose other festive colors or designs for your ribbon to make it match the theme you’re going for. Do make sure that the ribbon is clean and don’t put a ribbon on the plate if the food is savory or has sauces on it. No one wants their food with a ribbon dipping on them.

Christmas lights in jars
Light up your home with this cute Christmas jar.
If you have empty jars lying around your house, you can use of them in a design for your home. Clean them up and customize them according to your liking. You can either write words of festivities on the outside or put some stickers on them.
After designing, put white Christmas lights on the inside of the jar, connect the lights to a socket, and watch them light up the room. Do avoid cheap, low-quality Christmas lights to keep your home safe. Make sure to look for the stamp of Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) on the packaging to make sure they are safe.

Ribbon and balls
Make sure your other furniture joins in on the fun with this hack.
To make your furniture festive too, you can create a ribbon and ball combination and attach them to various parts of your home. Bring out your excess Christmas balls and tie a ribbon at the top. You can use double-sided tape to attach them to various furniture or items.
You can stick these to flower pots, walls, or cabinets; just make sure to secure them tightly by using multiple tapes. You can also mix and match the colors and pair them according to your theme.
