After 20 years of performing, American rock band Thrice will finally have their first show in Manila. The legendary band is currently on tour to promote their latest studio album entitled Palms and Manila is one of the stopovers. Filipino rock fans will finally get to hear the live versions of Thrice’s smash hits such as “Black Honey,” “Hurricane,” “Stare At The Sun,” and “Only Us.” With a reputation for being one of the most experimental bands, the group has dabbled in post-hardcore and alternative sounds over the years. Their latest album debuted at number one in the US Billboard Top Hard Rock albums and US Billboard Independent Albums. Tickets are available at Ticketnet outlets and Ticketnet online.
How to get there: Ride any MRT-3 then get off at the North Avenue Station. Since the station is directly linked to Trinoma, you can use the connecting bridge way between Trinoma and SM North EDSA. The SM Skydome is the visible dome-shaped building at the area.
Tips for purchasing tickets and watching the show:
• Never buy from unofficial ticket distributors. Beware of scalpers since they tend to sell overpriced tickets.
• If you’re going with a large group, check if there’s a bundle promo. Also make sure to check the rules about bulk purchases.
• Monitor the social media pages of the event, venue, organizers, and artist for last-minute reminders, cancellations, and latest updates.
• If the show doesn’t have reserved seating, check when the gates open and make sure to arrive as early as you can to get the best seats. However, if the show has assigned seating, practice common courtesy and don’t take someone else’s seat.
• Follow the rules and regulations of the venue. Make sure to check the dress code as well.
• To avoid being a victim of pickpockets and thieves, always keep your personal belongings close to you at all times.
