The City of Smiles showers locals and tourists with lots of surprises for a fresh start this New Year as it just recently opened the newest water park in the city—Splash Park Bacolod. This newest waterpark in Bacolod just opened last December 15, 2022. The waterpark resort is strategically located at the city’s heart, adjacent to the Bacolod City Government Center.
The Bacolod City Government wanted something fresh and new to add to the roster of Bacolod’s upscale establishments. They wanted Splash Park Bacolod to be a venue for families and friends to relax and have fun with nature, as also envisioned by the waterpark’s owner and President of the Fernando F. Gonzaga Corp., Maria Regina Tanpinco Piccio. Splash Park is established precisely for that, and more so, to attract more tourists to the city.
The La Vida Fountain welcomes guests to the waterpark, designed to pay tribute to the historical importance of sugar to the cultural heritage and economy of Negros Occidental. As you enter the waterpark, you will be greeted with a picturesque and historical spot. The La Vida Fountain is sculpted with grasping hands holding sugarcane. The statue also gives you a glimpse of sugar, tagged as the province’s lifeblood.
More than just a vast and open park and resort, Splash Park Bacolod has a lot of iconic spots that you should check out.
