Christmas traditions and celebrations across the Philippines are returning to welcome 2021. The Christmas season is in full force for Baguio residents and tourists alike: the annual
Baguio Country Club Christmas Village is back for the holiday season to spread Christmas cheer for all ages.
The Baguio Country Club Christmas village, synonymous with the Baguio City
Christmas celebration for years during the Xmas season, officially opened last October 29, 2021, to January 9, 2022. This year, the Baguio Country Club Christmas Village chose the theme “Colours of Christmas,” perfect for all the vibrant and dazzling lights and decorations inside the Christmas
village. It is also open daily from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The entrance fee depends on the age bracket and time slot. For adults: PhP75 for non-Baguio residents; PhP70 for residents (2:00PM to 5:00PM). For 5:00PM to 10:00PM slot: PhP100 for non-residents and PhP90 for residents
For senior citizens: PhP50 for non-residents and PhP45 for residents (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM). For 5:00PM to 10:00PM slot: PhP75 for non-residents and PhP70 for residents.
For kids ages 4 to 12 years old: PhP25 for non-residents and PhP20 for residents (2:00 PM to 5:00 PM). For 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM slot: PhP50 for non-residents. Baguio Country Club members and PWDs are free of charge.
Along with the traditional Christmas houses and trees, the Baguio Country Club Christmas Village also features a
holiday life-size nativity scene wherein staff dress up as the three kings, shepherds, Mary, and Joseph. Children can take pictures with Santa while enjoying the lively live holiday music. And in case these aren’t festive enough for you, fake snow is also falling all over the Baguio Country Club to complete your happy holiday experience and Christmas celebration.
Safety Protocols
The Baguio Country Club posted its safety protocols on its Facebook page to prepare visitors in advance. They will implement mandatory safety protocols in the Christmas village, like wearing face masks and proper social distancing. In addition, children ages two and below are not allowed and pregnant women who are not fully vaccinated.
Tourists ages 18 years old and above must present their vaccine cards and triage certificate issued by the city. In addition, children ages 17 and below must show negative RT-PCR test results taken 72 hours before arrival. Symptomatic individuals will not be allowed to enter the Christmas village. The Baguio Country Club will also disinfect the Christmas village every 15 minutes to increase safety. Sanitation stations are also placed in strategic areas.
Other reminders for tourists: bringing of food and beverages are not allowed. Visitors must also refrain from wearing rubber slippers. Pets are allowed if on a leash. The Baguio Country Club Christmas village also has the right to close the
Xmas attraction in lousy weather.
