If you arrived in Baguio City this February, you would be in time for the Panagbenga Festival. Naturally, you might be concerned about how the festival will impact your travel plans. However, the timing couldn't be better, as there is a nearby location where you can experience the first glass walkway in the region: the
Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Events in Benguet.
Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Events, situated in Barangay Loacan in Itogon, held its soft opening on February 1, 2025. This exciting new destination is notable for being home to the first
glass walkway in the Cordillera region, offering visitors a unique perspective of the surrounding natural beauty.
This unique property offers a new ecotourism destination with upscale amenities, including a view deck that provides panoramic views of Benguet’s lush mountains and pine forests and an amphitheater venue for performances by local and visiting talents. Additional features, such as a garden park, a children’s park, and forest trails—including a mountain biking trail—are expected to be completed this year. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear to enjoy your walk fully.
You won't need to worry about getting hungry if you come here during lunch or snack time. The park has two restaurants: Marahuyo Café and Alapaap Private Dining, which will open soon. Both offer Filipino cuisine. If you prefer a curated mix of food concepts, the Muni-Muni food hall is also a great dining spot to open soon.
You can enjoy the park's features and attractions for a reasonable entrance fee. For adults, the ticket price is set at PhP500, making it accessible for a day of fun and relaxation. Students and residents can take advantage of a discounted rate of PhP400, helping to make visits more affordable for those in the community. Seniors and persons with disabilities also benefit from a special rate of PhP350, ensuring that everyone can partake in the park's amenities. Additionally, children under the age of 7 are welcomed for free, making it an excellent spot for families. The park accommodates various payment options, allowing you to pay with cash, GCash, or through Instapay, providing convenience for all visitors.
Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Events is open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you plan to come in large groups, contact the park at info@mtcamisong.com or their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100092432945375 for more information.
