1. Savor the original La Paz Batchoy at Netong’s.

A food trip is one of the best activities to do with your friends. And the best place to share a meal is at an iconic restaurant in Iloilo: Netong’s Original La Paz Special Batchoy at La Paz Market, which serves the famous batchoy, the province’s most authentic comfort food. A must-try in the restaurant is its mega bowl (PhP130) of batchoy that goes best with rice or bread.
Netong’s is open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
2. Enjoy a boat ride along the Esplanade River.
Location: Senator Efrain Treñas Boulevards, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, Iloilo
During the boat ride, you will be given life jackets and a walkie-talkie to ensure the safety of your group.

River Esplanade is one of the famous landmarks in Iloilo. If your friends love paddle boating, then take them to the nearest calm river in the metro. Pedaling the boat is not as easy as it looks, and having a competitive friend who wants to race will make the ride at the River Esplanade more exciting. If you want a peaceful ride with the gang, plan the trip and head to the river before the golden hour. Enjoy kayak for PhP150 for two persons for 35 minutes.
River Esplanade is open daily from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
3. Set up tents at Bucari Pine Forest.
Location: Sitio Tabionan, Bucari Pine Forest, Leon, Iloilo
Remember to visit the waterfalls and cold springs near the camping grounds.

The Bucari Pine Forest, which is known as Iloilo’s little Baguio, has its way of making tagay (drinking bottoms up from a glass of alcohol) more memorable and fun. At this spot in Leon, Iloilo, you and your friends can set up tents under pine trees during the day and make bonfires at night while sharing life stories for more exciting activities to do in the city. The area is surrounded by verdant mountains, pristine rivers, and a cool breeze, making it a peaceful destination for the whole gang.

4. Swing on hammocks beside the beach at SandBar Island Beach Resort
Location: Sandbar Island Beach, Bolobadiangan, Concepcion, Iloilo
The resort brings you close to nature with natural views of the ocean and cottages and chairs made out of wood.

Beach is one of the best places to visit in Iloilo. For beach bums, the ideal place to bond is under the sun and by the shores. A place that fits the bill is SandBar Island Beach Resort in Bolobadiangan, Iloilo. You only need to take about a 30-minute boat ride from the mainland to get there, and at the resort awaits beach activities for the whole group such as a jet ski boat ride, snorkeling, and low tide strolling. What makes the trip worth it are the blue waters and long white sandbar where you can take picture-perfect snaps with your friends!
5. Climb on top of Garin Farm Pilgrimage Resort.

Last but not least, plan a trip to Garin Farm Pilgrimage Resort in San Joaquin, a destination that boasts various recreational and exciting activities. Apart from challenging the group to climb the top of the resort, you can also entice them to go swimming, horseback riding, or fishing. You can also have the ride of your lives at the resort’s zip line! If you and your friends wish to spend the night at the resort, there are also accommodations available.
The resort is open from Thursday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Gate closes at 6:00 PM.
