Boracay is celebrating and hosting a series of exciting ‘
Love Boracay’ events spanning over a week, starting on April 25 and ending on May 1 this year. From beach parties to cultural performances, there will be something for everyone to enjoy during this fun-filled week-long celebration.
Here’s the Love Boracay schedule of events you don’t want to miss!
April 25
This is the kick-off of Love Boracay 2024, described as the biggest and most hotly anticipated annual party of the summer season. It emphasizes environmental conservation.
April 26 to 27
What: Love Boracay Beach Tennis Open Tournament 2024
Venue: White House Beach Resort
This is a national tournament sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association. The categories include Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. The Boracay Racquet Sports Club PH organizes it.
April 27
What: Miss Malay 2024
Venue: Malay Activity Center, Malay Aklan
This annual local event advocates beauty, substance, and purpose, aiming to promote the town as a tourism destination. 16 lovely ladies representing their respective barangays compete for the elite crown this year.
April 27 to 28
What: LoveBoracay International Dragonboat Festival
Venue: White Beach
The Boracay Dragon Boat Association (BDBA) organized the event, which the Philippine Dragonboat Federation technically supported with the Malay local government unit. It anticipates hundreds of racers worldwide competing in different categories, such as Premier Open 200m Standard, Premier Mixed 200m Standard, Premier Women 200m Small Boat, Premier Open 200m Small Boat, and Senior A Mixed 200m Small Boat.
April 27 to 28
What: Beach Ultimate Frisbee
Venue: Pearl of the Pacific
A frisbee tournament is being prepared. Eight members per group will compete. Cash prizes and individual awards will be given away.
Aside from these, other sports series are being prepared, including beach volleyball, flag football, beach soccer, pickleball, round net, non-sports para racingand sand castle making. The venues are usually to be held at Boracay Station 1.
April 30
What: Throwback Party
Venue: Paraiso Bar and Grill, Uptown Hotel
This night party, brought to you by NUP Productions, features the Uptown Hype Band and the popular hits of the 1980s.
May 1
What: 21st Fiesta de Obreros
Venue: Malay Poblacion
It pays tribute to the labor sector and the real wealth of Malay towns. Malay’s original street dancing, merry-making, and performing events exemplify the parade of colors, contingents from different villages, and vibrant choreography.
Aside from these, various corporate groups usually organized pocket events, which promoted their respective products and brands by riding on the crowds attending the Love Boracay events.
