All your bags are packed and ready to go, but PAGASA has reminded travelers that the rainy season is already here. That’s why it is essential to be mindful of your time frame when going to and from Boracay, as the Philippine Coast Guard may cancel boat trips anytime, depending on the weather. Now, with the gloomy weather, here are some tips for enjoying the rainy season in Boracay!

1. Party all night!

Since March of this year, the local government has met with bar owners and allowed parties every weekend from dusk until dawn or from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. These parties can be found anywhere on the front beach. Epic Boracay, Aplaya, and Club Tropicana are among the beach parties held every weekend.

2. Go on land hopping

The beach may have a red flag due to strong waves, so consider taking a hop-on-hop-off bus to visit other attractions.

The beach may be a red flag, cautioning people to be wary of swimming because of the strong waves. The best alternative is to go land-hopping! While on this resort island, there is a hop-on-hop-off bus (hoho) that will bring you to other attractions in Boracay, such as the Boracay NewCoast, the mangroves, and Puka Beach, among others.

While you can purchase a card that offers unlimited rides (similar to a beep card) at the Southwest Office, they also provide an alternative mode of payment, such as GCash. The minimum fee is PhP50. Please also remember that they only offer day tours. You can wait for their passing on the central road at any time of the day.

3. Indulge in food adventures

Among the famous food shops in Boracay are Sugba de Boracay, G Market, Henan Restaurants (they had at least four hotels), Epic Boracay, and many more.

4. Explore coffees and teas while in Boracay

All the resorts, bars, and restaurants, especially at the front beach, offer their flavors of black, latte, cappuccino, frappes, iced coffee, decaf, espresso, cold brew, and specialty coffee drinks! Among the local favorites are Tara Kape Boracay, Cafe del Sol, Safron Cafe at Crimson Resort, and Spa Boracay.

5. Take a time out for spa massage

Several spa parlors on the island offer packages suited to your needs, revitalizing your skin, which may already be affected by the recent El Nino phenomenon. Spa pampering or reflexology massages will surely relieve stress and rejuvenate your skin! The minimum Swedish Spa Massage for one hour is PhP350. Try out and explore different massage and spas in Boracay, which include Sawadeespa Boracay, Kalinaw Spa, Tirta Spa for healing and therapy, and so on.

This means your stay on this resort island is complete with experiencing hair braiding; Boracay hair braiders offer a colorful setup and fashion. Hair braiding has complemented the tourism in Boracay as it helps your hair retain natural moisture, is suitable for frizzy hair and a new look, and, yes, you can take a selfie with yourself as proof that you are in Boracay!

The minimum service fee is PhP200.
