If you plan a trip to Boracay anytime soon, staying updated on the new implementation guidelines is important. On August 17, the local government of Malay, Aklan, started implementing a
unified ticketing system for foreign and domestic tourists.
With the new system, visitors must pay the
Boracay fees, including environmental and terminal fees, using the Boracay app or eBoracay (
https://guest.eboracay.net) when departing from Tabon Port.
Foreign tourists must pay the Boracay environmental fee, which costs PhP300, while domestic tourists must pay PhP100. Additionally, there is a terminal fee of PhP100 for all tourists. Residents with identification cards showing addresses in Aklan are exempt from paying these fees.
To complete the phase, the app-based unified ticketing system will soon be implemented at Caticlan Jetty Port. Furthermore, boat ticket purchases that cost PhP50 will also be integrated into the system.
This new unified ticketing system streamlines visitors' payment processes, reducing the need for physical cash transactions and long lines, and making the overall experience more efficient and secure.
